I don't know why, but I used to be afraid of the Royal Bank logo. There was something about that maze of yellow lines that freaked me out, apparently. Whenever I would go upstairs from my basement, I would run because I thought the logo was chasing me.
I used to believe that radio stations were just playing songs from VH1 or MTV. SO if I had to leave whatever was playing on tv would be n the car too. But that was never the case because my mom always played tapes.

As a kid, I used to watch Woody Woodpecker religiously. There was one episode where the vulture grabbed Woody, and rolled him up into a clay cylinder. Woody reappeared behind him. I was convinced that this actually happened, so I grabbed a worm from my backyard and rolled him up in some play-dough. He stayed there.
I used to believe that when you turned the TV off ,all the programs would stop. so i would leave the TV on when there was a program i didnt like just because i thought it was the only way to watch the next one.

When I was a kid and they would say "void where prohibited" at the end of a commercial for some kind of contest, I would always wonder what kind of thing "voidwear" was and why it was prohibited. I guess somehow I realized that since no one talked about "voidwear", that it was something I should either know about already or something that I was not supposed to know about. Then one day...I think I was in my teens, driving even, that it hit me "oh void WHERE!!".

When I was about 5 or so, I thought that the people on t.v could see me through the screen.
I used to think that Jason Voorhees was a swiss cheese man instead of a slasher killer. I played a Friday the 13th game on the original Nintendo, but I wasn't aware it was based on a movie. So when I was fighting the Jason on the game, it was yellow, and it had what looked like holes in its face due to the hockey mask. And I was terrified of it, because it looked like swiss cheese. Once I found out that it was really a killer instead of swiss cheese, somehow I became less afraid of it. I was a strange kid...

When I was little, I turned on the TV to find there was no programme on and there was a still image of a little girl playing naughts and crosses on a black board. I didn't know this meant there was nothing on and I thought this little girl was a mean little cow, so I tried to indimidate her by staring her down to make her put the programmes back on! Needless to say I couldn't stare her down...
I used to believe that there were little men inside our car radio that would sing and talk and thats where the sound came from. I thought when you changed the station the little men just switched to a diffrent thing

I used to think that a television show would stop when you turned off the set. This meant you could watch it for a little while, go play, and then pick up where you left off when you returned. I was devastated to learn that life revolves aorund the programming, rather than the programming around life. I never saw the end of that episode of Fraggle Rock...

When I was little, I didn't really understand how the tv worked. On the show Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, Mr. Rogers would always talk to the audience. Because he was talking to me, I thought I could reply to him, so every day when I watched Mr. Rogers (around the age of 4) I'd be going "Hey! Hey! Mr. Rogers! Hey!!" for the entire show.

We have a music room with several musical instruments in it. (my family is very musical.) One day, when I was about 5, I was playing around on the snare drum and I asked my mom if the characters on Sesame Street lived in there. She said yes, so from then on, I thought the characters on Sesame Street lived in the snare drum.
I used to believe that the music on the radio was actually played by the bands at the radio station. I used to think that it must be a lot of work for them to keep moving from station to station.
I was five years old when the live action Flintstones movie came out. I actually thought that they had filmed it in the stone age! I thought "Rosie O'Donnel (she played Betty Rubble) must be REALLY old!!!" I got everything cleared up a while later.

When I was a little kid, I used to believe that when TV shows went "off the air," that meant that the characters from the TV show were going away on an airplane and never coming back! It made sense to me at the time...
I used to think there was people in the T.V.

When I was little--I would stand in the shower and do a Zest soap bar commerical--and then watch the tv for my commercial to be on. HHmm...never did!
