I used to believe…

When I was little, I swore that cartoons were in color even though our TV was black and white. But other non-cartoon shows were black and white. My folks told me it wasn't possible for just the cartoons to be in color but I thought they were nuts.

I used to believe…

When I was a little kid, I believed that when you saw someone killed on television, that they were actually killed. I thought they just got people who wanted to commit suicide, or people who were sentenced to death for crimes, and put them in the tv show.

***I used to believe that everytime i had a crush on someone that person would spy on me at my house so when i got dressed or undressed ui would try to cover myself as well as i could. i guess i was just perinoid*

When we were little my younger brother was obsessed with the ninja turtles! And everytime we crossed a sewer grate or man hole he would kneel down and call "Ninja Turtles!!! Come out!!!!" It was the cutest thing ever that he truly beleived he lived down there!

I used to believe that if you lay down under the TV and looked up at the screen, you'd see up people's clothing. And I also used to think that at the end of the cookery program, you'd be handed a nice cake to eat through the screen.

I used to think that when a song was on the radio it was the actual band playing it live,and that there were lots of bands waiting in a studio to perform their particular song. It never occured to me that it was someone playing records!

i used to believe that the people i saw on tv lived in the tv!!i thought they were tiny ,little people who actually LIVED within the tv and the only thing between me and them was the screen!!

i used to believe when my parents recorded something on t.v. that it was also recording the noises we made.so i always sat real quite and a few years later my sister was recording a cassette of the radio and i would walk in and yell nadine sucks! thinking it would record it...and i'd ask her if she ever got a special message adn she'd me like nope

I used to believe that when people kissed in movies they weren't really kissing. I thought they just pressed their cheeks against each other and moved their heads around so it looked like they were.
I thought kisses were reserved for special occasions, like for when you got married or found a boyfriend (in real life, of course).

When I was little I believed that when I would turn off the television, the show I had been watching would stop and wait for me to come back. I distinctly remember one time watching a cartoon (I think it was Spiderman) and my mother and I had to leave to run an errand. I stood in front of the TV and instructed the show to wait for me so I could finish watching it when I returned. Imagine my disappointment.

When i was a little kid like 5 or 6 i thought that movies where real, like someone toke a camera and filmed people in their real lives. like i thought full house was a real house with real kids and someone was videtaping them and they didnt know it!

i used to believ that ppl lived in tvs and wer doin the shows in ther. so i would get rly bord seeing shows when ppl wer like "oprah visited me" cuz i was like "oprah lives in my tv! so ther!"

I used to think my sister's Blink 182 poster was staring at me went I was changing. I actually glared at it and told it I knew it was watching me. Also, my cousin told me that this picture of this creepy lady-- it was the kind where her eyes follow you-- would know if I went in the room without my cousin's permission... creepy.

I used to believe that all the music played on the radio was played live by the bands. I realize a lot of little kids have this belief. However, there is a local radio station that actually does have bands come in all the time and play live--sometimes several bands back-to-back. So a lot of us weren't that far off! :-)

I used to think that 'bonus' was some horrible skull creature made of bones. Whenever someone got a bonus on a game show I'd be scared for them, and I thought it was horrible someone would make them face the 'bonus'.
