I was watching this scary movie with my uncle and it had scary music. The next day when I went to the park, I thought that the band of men that were in the movie were coming to get me since I thought that the same music was playing. I ran to my aunt at the playground. I said in my high-pitched voice, "A band of men are coming to get me!!! (I pointed to where I saw them) See!!!". Then I hid behind me aunt hoping that they wouldn't eat us or if they had to, that they would eat my aunt first!!!

When I was 4 I used to watch this show called "Eerie Indiana." It stared two guys in it who investigated stuff or something like that. Anyways I I always heard "Iry and Deana" and belived the show was called that because those were the names of the two boys who investigated, I just couldn't figure out why nobody ever called them by those names on the show.

I used to believe that little people and things were inside the T.V. (which is how it worked) and if you broke the screen they would all come flooding out.

When I was little, I believed that, on Earth, we were living in some type of experimental world...like we were traped in a cage and being observed by someone-possibly aliens. I tried to figure out what E.A.R.T.H. stood for as if it was the name of some big top secret experiment. I thought that there were cameras EVERWHERE! I thought they were behind every mirror, in the ceiling, in closets, behind chalkboards, in street lamps and traffic lights, in trees, by windows, in cars, in pictures, in clocks, in floors and sidewalks....even in bathrooms! I was horrified at the thought! I was always trying to hide from the cameras.

Needless to say, "Turn the TV off!" was a statement heard often around my house.

For some odd reason my brother thought he was the reincanation of Inuyasha, a cartoon character.

He would sometimes ask our Mom when he would inherit the sword "Tetusaiga" and where did Dad get fangs anyway?

If someone found broken glass on the schoolyard he would pick it up and say "Don't tell the teacher! It's the shards of the Shikon Jewel!" When they insisted it was only glass he went to tell the teacher that they were trying to steal the jewel shards.

He was a very mixed up kid.

My dad would always watch the show Cops, while I would watch with him. Since most of the people on the show were black, it led me to believe every black person was a criminal. Whenever I saw a black person on the street, I would start singind the Cops theme song. Needless to saw, my mom wasn't to thrilled.

I went to my friend's house and they had a VCR. I actually thought it was real-time TV that they had the ability to fast-forward, and rewind if they'd missed a bit. I was devastated when I realised the truth.

Another friend got Teletext and I was absolutely mystified by the prospect of 'reading' your TV whilst the sound played over it. I thought these gadgets must be worth millions and that my parents would NEVER in a million years be able to afford them. We got them about a year later.

whenever people on shows like Barney or something would talk to me when i was little (like "hello, kids! are you ready to have some fun?", i always answered because i didnt want to be rude. even if i didnt feel like it, i would answer. one day, i decided i would be mean and not answer and it came as an incredible disapointment that they couldnt actually hear me.
