I used to have posters on my wall of all my celebrity crushes like JTT and leonardo dicaprio and when I was in my room either getting ready, cleaning, or dancing, I would do everything so cautiously because I thought secretly they could see me and I wanted them to like me!

I used to believe that every band or singer on the radio was right there in the radio station. I figured that they needed commercials to give each band time to run out of the studio and the next band to go in and play their song.

When we listened to music on the radio, I believed that the musicians were at the radio station. I was quite confused when my parents changed stations & they were also singing or playing on another station.
My parents thought that was quite funny.

When I was 5, my parents inadvertantly took me to the drive-in to see Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds". They didn't know about his films and didn't know a film called "The Birds" wouldn't be OK for kids. My uncle and Grandmother lived with us at the time. My uncle told me that if my Dad didn't brick up the fireplace, the birds would come in and peck me to death (as in the film). I was scared to death for weeks, and had to sleep in my Grandmother's room for protection.
I argued with my mother once that the Mighty Mouse cartoon was indeed in color, and I was positive! She said it couldn't be color on a Black & white TV. Who do you think was right?
I used to believe that radio stations had the bands playing live for every song. And before I figured that out, I used to believe there were tiny people living inside the radio.

When I was about 6, whenever I saw a woman in TV that seemed not to have too much clothes on, I always run close to the TV screen and tried to peep down to see if I could get the whole picture, as women always appeared from shoulder up... The only thing I managed was to cover the screen with fingerprints and "face-prints" and a huge frustration. Thought the TV was a kind of window or something.. So dumb!!
I used to think that all shows were live, and when a re-run was on the actors had to do the whole entire show over again. I remember watching Three's Company and thinking Jack did this before.

Our house was the second house on the street. Our road and housing development continued further back than I was permitted to venture at the tender age of 3 or 4. My teenage brother told me that if you went far enough down our road past the turn, you'd get to Sesame Street. Of course, my brother knew everything, so I believed him. We moved away from that house when I was 5. To this day I don't know what was down past that turn in our road, but at least I now know that Big Bird lives all the way out in California, not Maryland!
I used to think that when I heard songs on the radio, the actual group was in the studio performing at that moment! I always wondered how they had the space for so many different bands!
I used to believe that deadly snakes lived in the wall of my bathroom. I saw the animated show Rikki Tikki Tavi when I was a child which was about a family who had cobras living in the wall in their bathroom. They needed a mongoose to protect them from the cobras and I just thought that every house had deadly snakes living inside the walls. I would never get out of bed to use the bathroom during the night. Great show for kids to watch, huh?
I use to believe that the people that sang on the radio would sing the same songs over and over again. That they were at the radio station singing there songs. I use to wonder if they ever got tired.

When I was young my father told me that it was his job to pull the MGM Lion's tail and make him roar. I believed that for years and even bragged to my friends about it.

I used to beleive that the songs on the radio were always performed live - I thought that they must have a lot of energy to sing the song at 11:00 p.m.
I used to believe that little people lived in the telly and that they waited day and night for us to turn on the tv or watch a video and then perform as if they were in a stage show.
I used to think people on TV could see mee also. So one day I was watching a PBS science show on which a man was dressed in a rat costume. So I put on my Halloween costume, a cat, and repeatedly hissed at him & would run behind my grandpap's recliner.

When the commercials for anything you had to call to order would play, the announcer would always say (very fast), "here's how to order,". I thought that it was Howto Order, a very famous guy who would give you the name, address, and phone number to whatever it was you were supposed to order.

when i was little, i used to think that when you watched a movie, the actors had to act it out again. i also thought that when i was watching a movie, and someone else started watching it, they couldn't see it because the actors couldn't act it out twice at the same time

I used to believe that if I broke the T.V. during a show, I could get into the show
I used to believe that the radio was a luxury: my mother was the only one who could use it, and I was in a state of shock when I heard the people next to us listening to the exact same station. It took my mom a month to get through my head the the radio was free, and could be publicly accessed at any time.
