Mr. Rogers creeped me out. I thought he could see me through the tv. I would hide in my closet to change clothes so he couldn't see me naked.

When I was little, I used to tell my friends that if you were taller than the t.v., then you were taller than the charecters on the t.v. because I believed that the people that were on the shows lived in the t.v.

When I was little and watched tv and they would have commercials that were advertising a contest or something and at the end they would always say "Void where prohibited." Except I always thought they said "Voidware prohibited" and I thought Voidware was like Tupperware and it was prohibited.
I used to believe that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles really DID exist, and I'd spend hours squatting next to manhole covers and storm drains calling them "Michelangelo! Donatello!" and waiting for them to come out and play with me.

There is a scene in Charlie and the Choolate Fatory when Willy Wonka explains that he has developed technology to send candy bars through the television. I was very young when I first saw this. I spent a good deal of time trying to convince my mother that our dinner could just come out of the television. After all what were t.v. dinners?
Once when he wanted to annoy my mother, Dad went out and got some McDonald's and waited for a commercial. I came back from getting one of my dolls to find hamburgers and french fries in front of the television.
Mom had a hard time with me after that. I was convinced our t.v. was broken, it only did it the once.....
I used to think that the people in the television could see you.

I thought that the people on television didn't exist at all because my parents always used to tell me they were fake.
I used to believe that Eric Estrada was a woman. I heard the name as "Erica Strada" the first time, and just assumed this was a woman until I saw it in print as "Eric".

When I was little, I absolutely loved Alladin the Disney movie (although the Saturday series were kinda cheesy)I had a crush on the character, and had the Aladin bed set, the mercandise, the partgy gear, and the beach mat. If If got picked on in school, I told everyone that Aladin was gonna kick their ass! Anyways, I wanted to meet Alladin in person, and when I found out I was going to Disney World, I knew what character I was going to see first. I did feel guilty because my motives were part selfish. I was gonna bribe Aladin into giving me Jafar's lamp so he can grant my every wish.
So when I was in Disney Land, my dad told me that Aladin was coming my way. As I ran up to him and Jasmin, I was very dissappointed. The Aladin I loved was short, his costume looked like it was from the dollar store compared to it's movie counterpart, and he was UGLY!! He even looked scary. This was not my dream man, and I cried at the top of my lungs right in front of everybody and called the confused Aladin a wanna-be phoney, and that he could keep his stupid lamp. I refused to leave Disney World until I saw the real Aladin. In fact, all of the characters in the park looked fake. My dad still laughs about it to this day.
I recently confessed to my husband that I used to believe that when I grow up I would marry Superman and that is why I never liked Lois, when later that day told my mom about it she admitted that she didn't like Lois as well.

When I was six, my grandpa was reading the tv guide, telling me what shows would be on later. I couldn't figure out for the life of me how people knew AHEAD of time what was going to be on!

As I saw "Back to the future 2" first time in 1991, when I was eight, I was convinced they had really moved in time to the year 2015 to make future scenes! I just couldn't believe someone could create vision of the future with so many details - there were lot of trade-marks, types of clothes, so many products (Pizza, Pepsi Perfect etc.) that it made me sure it was true AD 2015. I only wondered how the hell they had found the way to travel in time...
I used to believe the pillsbury dough boy lived in the "grocers freezer".I spent many a trip looking for him,the scary thing is I wanted to find him so I could throw him off the bed,I guess I thought it would stop his little laugh and make a cool splat?!

when i was smaller like 3 or 4, i don't believe there's actors/actress on tv, unless i see them in reality. I always see them as robots.

When I was younger I believed that every movie (or piece of literature) that had the title of the movie (or book) in it was true. For example, "Pinocchio" was based on a true story because they said Pinocchio all the time.
You can imagine how terrifying this made everything.

When I was younger, I used to believe that every TV show or movie was actually taking place in another dimension. I believed that the people there were other versions of the people in this dimension, and that every time a new show came out, a new dimension was created. I'm 18, and I still kind of believe this.
