We had a REALLY old TV when I was little and the color was always distorted. While watching the Smurf's at a friend's house one morning I asked her why they were blue? On my TV they had always been GREEN and I just assumed green was their true color!
I used to believe that the people on tv could really see and hear you, so if they asked a question, I would run to the speaker on the front of the tv and yell the answer out to them.
Also, if I was afraid to leave the room while the tv was on, because I thought the people would be mad because they were left by themselves.

Bismillahir Rahman ir Rahim -- when I was a kid in the 80's I believed (along with a lot of adults, I suspect) that the "cola wars" were terribly serious. I imagined a nation divided in vicious opposition between two warring soft-drink superpowers, and followed developments anxiously, fearful that any day one would crush the other utterly and rise victorious to reign over all Americans with its tyrannical single-soda regime.

When I was little, my old babysitter scared me into always rewinding videotapes by telling me the VCR would explode if the tape went all the way to the end. I believed it! To this day, out of habit, I still make sure to stop the tape and rewind.

I believed there was a camera in thier hom that would let us watch the family at a cfertian time every week. These were recorded, and then shown again later as re-runs when the family was on vacation or something.

When I was younger, I saw a James Bond -007 movie. The next day, I received many amused looks and puzzled stares as I described to everyone how James Bond pushed a button in his hotrod and how the "ejaculation seat" sent the occupant flying through the roof of the car!
I asked my mum how the hands on Thunderbirds were so realistic. She answered: because they are real hands. Therefore I believed that they where the hands of dead bodies stuck onto puppets. Be interesting to see that one on your donor card!

When I was around 3 or 4 years old, I beleived that little tiny people lived in the radio and talked about the news, and sang songs.
I used to believe that when you turned the radioon, it would be playing the same song that was the last time I turned it off.
I used to believe that people had outlines like cartoons. I got this idea from looking at Snoopy. Sometimes I would hold my hands up in front of a wall, concentrate hard, and try to see my "black lines." (And I was so pleased when I was finally successful.)
