I used to think that there were cameras in the lights of my house, so that the girls from my class could watch me. So, I was very careful when going to the bathroom, or after a shower, or changing before bed.

I would either do this with the lights off or put on my boxers under my towel.

I did this from about the 2nd grade to about the 4th or 5th grade.

When I was little, I didn't understand the concept that actors were just acting. I thought that it was their real lives being shown on tv. After a few years, I found out that it wasn't their real lives, but I still believed that when their tv character dies, the actor dies too. I thought that it was dumb of them to want to play a part when they knew they were going to die.

I used to believe that producer Fred Fuchs was Fred F***s. I guess that was because I wasn't wearing glasses and the "h" looked like a "k."

I used to believe that people on television sitcoms were real families that just didn't know they were being filmed and watched. I always worried about my family's life being broadcasted on television and would change my clothes and take a bath as quick as I could so no one could see. I believed this until I was about 7 or 8.

My grandmother allowed me to watch Stephen King's "IT" at an obscenely young age. For years afterward, I thought that if I flushed the toilet, a demonic clown would come out of the toilet and kill me. :-)

I thought that the Allen wrench was named after an actor from Home Improvement, Tim Allen.

I used to get confused when watching Wheel of Fortune, because I didn't understand that there was a camera overhead looking down at the wheel. I through there were two wheels, one flat for the people to spin, and another vertical one for the camera to shoot that would turn in sync with the flat one, somehow. Strange.

I used to LOVE Blue's Clues. I used to think that, since there were kids shouting, any kid could join them. I used to shout "A clue!" and "It's right behind you!"
I was much older when I saw a making of the show and was extremely upset to see some kids off camera stealing my job!

We watched TV a lot more often than we listened to the radio. So I thought radio had a video component that we couldn't see...when songs were playing, there was a music video. When the news was on, it was broadcast from a nice set just like the TV news. I thought that until I was 9 or 10 and actually visited a radio station.

I use to think that the people on the posters in my room would watch me, so I would always feel weird getting dressed in there.

I used to beleive that the newscasters

When I was younger I had always wanted a gameboy, but they cost so much money. I finally got one for christmas a few years ago. I always tried to take good care of it because it cost so much and that would be the only one i probably would get for ages. I was insistant that if there wasnt a game in it and I turned it on, it would break and I would get in trouble. I was so afraid that would happen, then it did and my gameboy was fine. :)

When I was a kid, I believed that every show had its own channel, so I'd say something like "Turn it to Sesame Street!!!" whenever I felt like watching that show, and it REALLY confused me that sometimes, it wasn't on any of the channels, so I was afraid it had disappeared forever. Then I figured out that TV shows are scheduled to be on at certain times, lol.

I used to think that every time I watched a movie on tape, the narrator would have to narrate live so they would have to immediately stop whatever they were doing to come and add the voice for my movie. One Christmas Eve I played "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" nine times and I remember thinking "Wow, he must be tired of telling me this story so many times."

Before I learned about live studio audiences I used to think that if I laughed really hard into my television speakers, that other families watching from their living rooms could hear me because I reasoned that was where these other voices were coming from. So I purposely tried to laugh out of tune and when I heard someone that sounded like myself, I would smile with content because I had just heard myself on TV.

Later when I learned about reruns, I would get excited when I heard someone laugh like myself because I was certain that was ME from a previous taping.

I thought they must use prisoners to shoot and kill for the movies. They would just cast convicted murderers in the roles of those who would eventually die in the movie.

When I was little I watched Mac Guyver all the time. One time I thought I could repel out of the second story bedroom window and down the front of the house. My only problem was that I didnt know how to tie knots as well as Mac Guyver did. Thank goodness for shrubbery.
