As a kid, I watched a lot of Tex Avery and Warner Brothers cartoons. And sometimes, in those cartoons, when one of the characters was in a sticky situation, they would pull out a pencil and draw things. Like, if they wanted to escape somewhere, they'd draw a door. I used to believe that you could do this in real life, so in the front hallway of my old house, I drew a picture of a window, thinking that if I ever wanted to run away from home, I could climb through it.
Also in the same cartoons, characters would draw a picture of themselves on a rock or something, and the villian would, thinking it was their victim, go run into the rock. My brother (who's two years younger) used to chase me around the house and try to bit me, so one day I drew a stick figure of myself on the side of a cabinet and tried to lead him to it, thinking he'd see it and believe it was me, and he'd run into the cabinet and leave me alone.
I used to think that Mary, Kate, and Ashley were three girls and I was always like WHERE'S THE THIRD ONE? I told my friend this and she said she used to think that Mary Kate was one girls full name and Ashley Olsen was the other girl and she always wondered how they looked so much a like without being related.

When I was little I thought the teenage mutant ninja turles were real. (this was back when they came out with the 1st cartoon show and the first movie and all) I thought this becuase I saw people in ninja turtle costumes on tv at certain events and because they starred in their own movie. I thought they were real superheros and celebrities. I got a 'autographed poster' by them and believed they really autographed it. I felt so special.

My grandfather worked as a watchman for Smith Brothers Cough Drop company and would bring us small sample boxes of the product. I believed that the first names of the Smith Brothers were Trade and Mark because that was written under the picture of each.

When I Was 5, I Was Afraid To Watch Scary Movies, Because I Thought That If I Watched Them By Myself,The VCR Would Become Haunted And The Tape Would Get Stuck On Really Horrifying Parts When I Tried To Eject It To Keep From Watching. I thought That Some Invisble Force Would Pull My Eyes Into The Direction Of The Movie And Make Me Watch It.

When I was four or five I owned a Disney Land sing-a-long video which I would watch every single day and even though Disney is supposed to be the happiest place on earth I would cry my eyes out everytime I watched it. This was because I believed I was in love with Chip (from Chip and Dale) and was completely heartbroken because I couldn't go to Disney Land. So I had to settle with kissing my tv and pretending he was with me...(I later made it to Disney World and wasn't all that impressed with Chip)

when i was little, there was a tv programme on called Sesame Street. There was this wierd puppet dracula called 'Count Dracula' because he used to count everything that was anywhere near him! He lived in a haunted castle and had lots of bat friends. I had an obsession with him and i was convinced that i loved him! I thought one day we were going to meet in his castle, have dinner and count all night long! Also on Sesame Street, there were little clips of dogs doing stuff humans would do e.g. bake cakes and doing gymnastics. She used to think that they would jump out of the screen and haunt her. Sesame Street was a scary but educational programme when i was little!

When I was 5, I saw Tremors with my 8-year old cousins. I was sooo scared. For the next month or so, I kept running to where I need to go. Like, if I needed to go from the couch to my bedroom, I would run like lightning to my room and hop on my bed as fast as possible.
I used to believe that if my favourite television programme was on and i wanted to watch it later and switched off the TV then the programma would still be on later. Its funny to think that i used to think i could control the TV!

When I was about 8, I saw an ad for Ralph Lauren that said, "First there was Ralph, then there was Lauren" or something like that. I thought it meant that the designer was a guy named Ralph who then had a sex change and became a lady named Lauren. Nowadays I stick to Tommy Hilfiger.

Ahhh, The Incredible Hulk. I wanted to be just like him. I also happened to be a picky eater. Imagine my parents' glee when I believed the source of Hulk's strength was split-pea soup, and if I just ate enough of it myself, I could aquire his powers, too.

So I Waited One Night. The Sky Turned Pink And Nothing Happened. I Thought Maybe They Only Came Out On The Weekdays And I Missed Them, Because I Went To Bed Too Early.
