I thought my mom was very special when she could predict commercial breaks on TV, only later did I realise that she would spot the tiny white square would appear in the top right corner of the screen when a break was due

My mom forced me to watch those Nightmare on Elm Street movies when I was 5 and it scared me to death. Inspired by a sceen in the movie, I was afraid to take a shower/bath for I feared that Freddy would pop out of the shadows and slit my throat.

When my friend was little her and her brothers used to go to the video store to rent a movie and they always wanted to rent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which she hated. She would find a different movie but they would tell her "You have to find one with the movie in it otherwise they don't have it" so she would go down every aisle picking up every case to find one with a movie in it....needless to say they always ended up with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

One of my first memories was riding in the car with my father, and seeing a little spider crawl into the tape deck. From that point on, i was convinced that it was the spider singing, talking and playing the music that came out of the radio. (my dad told me i was absolutely correct..boy did i feel stupid years later when i tried to tell somebody, convinced that i was right!)

While watching the opening credits of The A Team (back in the eighties) I asked my Dad if he knew what the 'T' stood for in Mr. T's name. He casually told me it was Thatcher as Mr. T was Margret Thatcher's son. I didn't pick up on that one for nearly twenty years!
