I used to believe…

As a kid i always used to sit in the back of the car. We always had the radio on and i used to think there was little men living in the speakers and talking and we could just hear them through that. I used to imagine them all sitting there and reading from a script. I used to try and look in and see if i could see them in there but i never could : ( I never believed this for the home radio though, only the car radio.

I used to believe that whenever we put a movie in the VCR, alarms would go off at all of the actor's houses and they would all have to go to the studio to act out the movie for us.(the same thing went for animated movies too.)

The first time I heard about "Survivor" was when I saw a commercial asking "who would be the last one left on the island?" At that time I didn't know about immunity challenges or tribal council or anything, so I assumed this meant they had to keep living on the island until all of them but one had died! I thought that was terrible, and refused to watch the show. When I found out how it really worked, I thought "Oh well that makes more sense!" I still think it's terrible, though.

I used to believe that we couldn't watch television after 9 pm because all of the actors and actresses were naked, it was only when I saw channel 4 that I found out that this was the case.

i used to think that people lived in the speakers of a radio. so whenever anyone was singing, i would go right up to the speaker and try to look inside. on one occassion, i though i actually saw a gospel choir inside...god knows where the hell that game from...

when i was younger my mum used to shout at the t.v. when football came on so i started to shout when something bad was going to happen to someone on the cartoons...

In the UK, there's a programme called "It'll Be Alright On The Night" and it shows out-takes and bloopers of other tv programmes. Whenever I watched it, I thought that when an actor got his or her lines wrong and started laughing, I thought it was because somebody had told them a really funny joke at lunchtime and they were laughing at it. Subsequently I thought that all of the out-takes and bloopers took place in the afternoon. Hmmm....

I used to think that cartoons were people in costumes and I was upset to find out they were drawings because I thought it would be a cool job to walk around in a costume.

hall of fame

I flew on a plane to Las Vegas when I was 8. The clouds were so fluffy and white and close that I looked for the Care Bears and their rainbows.

I used to beleive that the red and green buoys in the river was the little mermaid. The red one: her hair, and the green one her fin.

This is my brother, not me.

His name is Tucker, and we were signing up for this website. He wanted to put "tuckerman100" as his screen-name, but the computer kept saying, "That's naughty! Why don't you choose a nicer name?" We were perplexed, and finally got our mother to help. Needless to say, she was furious when she found out that the company had mistaken "t" for "f." Tucker doesn't use his name as a username anymore...

Once, when I was about four, I saw a really fat kid on Reading Rainbow, and told my mom I thought he was fat. My mom told me not to say that, because people in the TV could hear everything you say. For three years, whenever a friend said something bad about a person or show on the TV, I would tell them that the actors' feelings would be hurt, because they could hear you. I finally found out the truth, when I told this to a friend when her mother was in the room, and the mom laughed and explained that they couldn't hear us, but that didn't mean we should say rude things about them.

You know how in the Energizer commercials, there's a little pink bunny banging on a drum? I always thought they were commercials for the bunny instead of the battery! I still kind of want a little toy like that!

As much as I always loved "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" as a kid (and I still do!), the Whos used to make me mad. The narrator said that they dined on "rare Who roast beast," and since I had never heard "rare" used as a cooking term I always thought they were horrible people because they knew there weren't many beasts left, but ate them every year anyway.

I used to believe that a "website" was a job, called a websighter, because I used think that anyone who could find a spiderweb would get paid like a normal job (firefighter, doctor, Etc!) i aLways said When I Grow uP, I WANNA BE a WEBSIGHTER!!!!!!freaky huh.

I used to believe…

When I was younger I was so convinced that someone was watching me in my room that I wouldn't get changed in my room and everytime I went in there I would say something ridiculuos like I know your in there. And everytime I started acting odd my sisters would say stop showing off to the invisible friends....
but I do believe that government is watching my every little move...
