I used to think live-action films and television programs were acutally computer-made, so there were not real people there.

I used to believe…

Once when I was little I was watching Blue's Clues, and there was a green dog on that show named Green Puppy. I didn't know what his name was, so I asked my grandpa, and he told me his name was Spike. I believed him until I was about 15 when I finally looked it up for sure. I always thought it'd be weird that the green dog would be named Spike when the blue dog was named Blue and the magenta dog was named Magenta. Oh well, lesson learned: don't listen to grandpa!

When I was a little girl I loved to watch horror movies about scary witches, coffins and cemetery. My favorite children's film was "Hocus Pocus." In the evening, when I started to watch it, I always felt that I am not alone in the room therefore switch the channel. And then my mother came into the room, and we watched it together. When I went to bed it seemed to me that witches from the movie would come into my room and eat me. Now I have grown up, but still afraid of watching horror movies.

When I was little, I believed Pokemon were real, they were just in Japan. I was also totally in love with Ash Ketchum. I planned to go to Japan through a student exchange program when I was 10, then drop out so I can go on an adventure and set out to become the Pokemon Master just like he did.

When I was young and they showed nudity on TV and in movies, I didn't think that the actors would want their private parts to be filmed on camera, so I thought that during those scenes they would wear clothes over themselves that looked exactly like private parts.

I thought when a movie was unrated it meant it was so bad it exceeded all the ratings!

When I was young (3-5) I thought that if you broke the tv screen that you could go and live in the movie. One time I decided I wanted to live in Charlie and the chocolate factory (old one lt was about 2003) I almost did it to with a rock...I'm glad I didn't do it and I still don't know why I thought that

When I was a small girl the old "batman" series was on TV.there was one episode in which one of the villans abducted Batman ib order to remove his "cowl" (the part of his costume that covered his face) and I thought they said his "cow" and I thought that was another word for face.The next day my dad scratched his cheek so I asked him if he had hurt his cow, thinking how sophisticated I sounded.He gave me a blank look and after many questions he figured out what was going on and "cow" for face becane a running joke in my family all thanks to me.

My mom took a Balkan folkdancing class when I was around 6.we watched Star Trek a lot so I got mixed up and thought she had said Vulcan folkdancing. Mom said the dancing was very energetic so I always imagined those stoic Vulcans really chtting loose for once Mr Spock leaping high in the air and clicking his heels!

You know how in kid's magazines they have sections, where they show things kids sent into them, like stories and drawings. I drew a picture, stuck it in the magazine and waited to see if it would be published the next time I opened it.

I used to think "The Addams Family" and "The Munsters" were all one show called "The Monster Family", they were both in black and white and about families who lived in haunted houses, so I thought they were the same.

I picked up the words from a science show on TV, something like, "atoms are alive and everything is made up of atoms". From there my mind (age 5) decided all things, from rocks to trees, to my stuffed animals and Raggedy Ann, are alive (have spirits and feelings). And honestly, in a way, I really never lost that belief!

When I was little and I would watch a movie that a character grew up in I thought it actually took a lifetime to film the movie. I didn't know they actually used different actors/ actresses.

I thought that when a movie showed a kid and then later showed the same person as an adult that they were actually the same person and they had to wait for the kid to grow up to film the rest of the movie. I figured they must shoot the same scene with at least two different kids just in case one of them died before they became an adult.

I used to believe that I was being watched on TV somewhere, I guess like a reality show or something, and would start acting on my best behavior and sometimes talk to the people watching .. And this was in early 90s before reality tv shows ;)

I used to think that people on tv shows lived inside the tv.
