I used to believe that when you go to the movie theaters, the actors were right behind the screen acting out the whole movie.

I used to (and still) watch Cops. I always thought they were filming it Live and wondered how did the know how to bleep out bad language and censor there faces. I had the same question for the Jerry Springer Show too...

I used to believe…

At the end of those shows on PBS where the thing comes up that says "This show is sponsored in part by viewers like you" or something to that level, I thought they were referring specifically to me and would often sit there wondering what I had done to help PBS with their show. I started worrying about it and kept bothering my parents about it. This continued until I was about 7.

When I was 6, the movie 'Jurassic Park' came out and we rented it. I remember being particularily affected by the scene with the velociraptors (sp?) in the kitchen. That night, and many nights afterward, I would check all around my room to make sure there weren't any raptors hiding in there.

i use to believe you could go into the back of the telly and act out your own show!

I used to beleive that in Hollywood, the actors wern't actually kissing, they were just mouthing the air. This is thanks to my dad telling me that they made the male actor eat garlic before shooting a scene so that the woman would want to "kiss" the air and not the man.

when i was about 5-6 years old, i used to think that all the stuff that's shown in movies was actually happening somewhere, and that someone else videotaped those people without their knowledge :)

I used to believe…

On a 'Batman' episode, Catwoman fell off a ledge in a cave or something and Batman held Robin back, saying "Watch it, Robin! It's a bottomless pit!" I had never heard that phrase before, so I thought he said, "It's a bottom of spit!" I was picturing a pool of saliva at the bottom of the hole.

I used to think that the News Reporter was looking just at me where ever I was..

When I was 4-5, during the waning years of the Reagan administration, I was convinced that the President delivered the CBS Evening News every night. It was not until President Bush I was inaugurated that I realized that Dan Rather and Ronald Reagan were, in fact, different people.

I thought when the tv said They were showing a Movie in a theater near you i got mad! Because There was no heater near me i i thought i could never watch movies!!!!!

As a child I often wondered how the actors were able to replay and re-enact the same scenes identically. This was before I understood the concept of RERUNS.

When I was little, I used to believe that whenever I played a video game, that there was someone else on the other side of the Earth that i was playing against

I can't decide what category this should go in. When I was small, I had bizarre fever dreams. Mostly I knew they were dreams, such as the one I had where Abraham Lincoln came into my bedroom (how tall!), removed his hat politely, and sat down on the edge of my bed, to give me silent moral support. But I also had what was probably more of an hallucination. When I had a very high fever I used to turn the TV to a non-channel (oh yes! We had those in the 70's!!), where there was nothing but static. Because, in the "snow," I saw chickens. They were just running around, eating corn, pecking in the dirt, etc., and I found this comforting. I called it the "chicken channel," and my mom humored me in this, although it must have driven her insane, because for some reason I also insisted on having the sound turned up.

when i was younger i didn't grasp the idea you got PAID for appearing in tv adverts, i thought if you were advitising mcdonalds you would get a years free mcdonald food, etc

I used to believe that Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd were real. Anytime Elmer would try to kill Bugs, I would scream at the TV for him to stop because I loved Bugs. My mom laughed at me but I didn't understand why until much later.

I also thought that if I fell in a deep enough hole, I would meet up with ugs.

I used to think that people on television could see me

I used to believe that if I sat behind the tv set, my family could see me on the screen.

I always used to believe that the bodysnatchers could come out of your cupboard and take you away. I'd always sleep watching the cupboard, so that I'd spot them coming. That is, until one day I saw an episode of "Ghostbusters" where they managed to trap the boogeymen so they couldn't steal anymore children. I slept well after that...
