I'm sure that Im not the only one according to some posts but I actually thought that all the songs on the radio were played by the musicians themselves on site.LOL...I can just picture the confusion , bands setting up and taking down their equipment , bands coming back to the station 5 hours later only to do the same song.

When I was really little I used to believe if you broke the screen of the TV the characters would come out and you could talk to them and hang around them so every time Barney(which was my favorite tv show) came on i would ask my mom for the hammer and she asked why and i said i want to break the tv to play with barney

If there was something scary on TV and the lights were off, I would keep my feet up on the chair as I thought crocodiles would grab them. Even though what was on TV had nothing to do with crocs whatsoever

I used to think that on the news, the people reading the news could see you in the same way that you could see them. When I was about 5 I used to show my bum to the TV because I thought the news was boring and imagine the look on my horrified mother's face when she'd walk into the room and I'd be pulling a moonie at the TV!

Well, growing up, my mom raised me really weird (she was a germaphobe and stuff) and whenever I saw kissing in movies, I would be disgusted and think about all the germs they would be spreading, and how would they be pretending to kiss each other like that when I thought that only people in love kissed each other. So I kept thinking of possible ways they could be kissing appropriate and without spreading germs. One idea was they had pieces of plastic stuck to their lips when they were making out.

I used to beleive that people in music videos and movies were doing them live all the time. I always wondered how they change clothes so fast.

When I was watching TV back when I was 7 or so, I used to believe that all the clapping in the shows were from people at home, so I would clap as loud as I could so I could hear myself on TV.

when i was a kid i had a small cassette player. i have to say that music was the best thing in the world at that time for me. one day my "magic box" broke. i didn't understand what happened and i thought that if i concentrate hard and ask my player to work again, it would do it for me! but it never did. I tried so hard for a long time...

When I was little I knew that people on T.V. and in movies were only acting...so I thought during the "kissing parts" they couldn't possibly be kissing someone they didn't know. I thought they must have a clear piece of plastic in between their lips that the audience couldn't see so that they weren't really kissing.

When I was about 7 or 8 years old my mom told me that if i break the TV screen it would suck me into a different world and she told me she knew someone who got sucked it. I Guess she told me to scare me out of breaking it.

I used to believe that a 'Lifesaber' (the glowing weapons in Star Wars) were actually called 'Life-savers'. I was so confused why someone would want to hit an enemy with something that was called a Life-saver. Sadly, I'm 14 and I just found out a couple months ago.

--I was sure that the sounds coming out of our stereo speakers were made by little men who lived inside the stereo cabinet. i was really excited because I thought the Monkees lived in there. I used to talk to them through the speaker. "I love you Davey. No, I love peter. No wait, Mickey."

I used to believe that if the TV broke, all of the characters would come out, even in cartoons. I always was very very careful with the TV screen, especially during the Lion King. I was terrified of Scar, and the thought of him coming into my living room was horrifying! I think this belief stopped when our TV actually did break and no-one came out..

When I was really young, I used to watch an afternoon talk and entertainment show called "House Party." I thought when we turned on the TV, it made me a guest on the show and I used to dance around the room when the music played and use some of my mother's clothing as "costumes." I jumped around the room like a nut and I thought that the applause was for me. (How crazy was I???)

When I was small my older brother would take one of the television remotes and leave the other one by me. He would then "use his psycic powers" to make the channel change. It never occured to me that he would use the other one.....took me years to figure that out......

When I was like 8 or 9 I would watch TV and see those commercials for acne care. My brother was about 14 and he had pimples and I remember hoping that by the time I hit puberty and got pimples that they would still make that kind of stuff (I thought it was just a fad that would go away!)

When I used to look through the TV guide I used to think that "As London" was a real programme, and wasn't it on an awful lot!
