I used to think that those people who did the television surveys counted viewing figures by looking into your living room, through the t.v. It was a little hard to take when I was 12, and used to stay up late at night any foreign film with a bit of tittie in it.

When I saw previews for The Lion King before other Disney films, I saw people taking pictures of real animals. From that I drew the belief that Lion King was a movie of live animals that was shot on to special "animated film," which made the movie animated.
I used to believe that every show was done after the introduction...(when the commercial came on right after). Everytime after the commercial, I'd clap and change the channel. All my friends would ask me if I saw friends last night, and I'd always reply, in a sacastic way "well they all sang the song and sat on the couch again. How could you like that show??" I liked the simpsons more, because part of the introduction changed everytime!!

When I was very little I used to watch the cosby show and I thought Cliff Hustable and Claire Hustable were actually married like in real life, and theo, vanessa and all them were his actual kids. When I found out Bill Cosby was married to someone else I was very confused. I thought he had two wives!
i used to think that since the movie screens in theatres were so big that there was a huge video player behind the screen and several people had to lift the gigantic tape into the player and then someone had to be shot out of a canon to hit the play button.

When I was little, I thought the phrase in t.v. commercials "brought to you by" was one big word, "broughtoyoduby" meaning they would bring it to you if you buy it.

When I first saw Star Wars at home on video I announced my contention that the green bounty hunter's name was "Quachy Nose" because that's the sort of nose he had. It confused me to no end when I got the action figure and saw the name "Greedo" on the package.

When I was younger I used to believe that when radio stastions played music, they actually had the band/singer live in the studio. I thought I was stupid to believe this when I was older but then I realized I wasn't the only one when I had to break the news to my cousin.

when i was little i thought that i was in a tv show and that i was on tv, and that all tv shows were of real people doing real things in real life, i didn't really know about actors then, so i just thought everyone was on tv, im kinda confused now about what i thought cartoons were

When I was little like 4, 5, or 6 I thought that you could stick the tape in the VCR and record something that you missed on TV. So I tried doing that once when I missed my episode of Arthur. So now in the middle of a Charlie Brown Christmas on video tape is Bill Nye the Science Guy talking about desert animals.

In the 70's an advert on UK TV for Wrigleys Spearmint Gum had people carrying around enormous packets of gum. I believed that when you bought and opened a packet of Wrigleys Gum it would inflate to this size.
