My little sister's favorite game on the computer is a game called I Spy, which she calls "high spy". Whenever she sees someone using a computer, no matter what they're doing, she assumes that they're playing their own version of "high spy".
I used to believe that the TV worked both ways. So the presenters were facing hundreds of TV screens on which they could see the living rooms of all the people watching them.

jim'll fix it was my favourite programme when i was little. (english show about mad eccentric cigar smoking millionaire making kid wildest dreams come true. saturday night prime time mid 80s) thought his first name was jimull and his last was fixit. i wrote to jimull fixit asking if my dad could be a dr who dalek for a day. he didn't make my dream come true but i must've made the day of some researchers in the jimull office that day!
I seem to remember that when I was younger, I thought all the music you heard on the radio was coming from the musicians actually performing it live from inside the radio station. This confused me greatly when I would hear the same song at two different parts playing on two different radio stations.

When I was four or five years old, I remember watching an afternoon movie on channel 5. There was an interuption in the show and suddenly an announcer's voice boomed: "we are experiencing technical difficulties, please stand by." My brother and I immediately stood to the either side of the tv until the show returned.

When I was little, I believed that when you watched a movie, the actors were really acting it out somewhere and when you rewinded it without pushing stop first, they had to do the whole thing backwards. But if you pushed stop before you rewound, they wouldn't have to do it backwards.

When I was yound there was an ad for a tube of smarties. A guy would open the tube and he would be sucked inside to a world of smarties. I made my mum buy me a packet thinking that if I opened it I would be sucked inside. I was very dissapointed.

When I was about 3 I believed that I could talk to whoever was on the TV by talking into the speakers. When they didn't respond i figured it was because he wanted to get on with his job. Then my mum told why I couldn't talk to him. I was majorly bummed.

For my 4th birthday my mum said I could have a party and I could invite anyone I wanted. The only person I wanted to come to my party was Robert Key, who was the ITN lunchtime news reader at the time. Apparently I threw a tantrum when told he wouldn't be able to attend. (We lived in a small town in Yorkshire at the time).

Bachelors Super Noodles adverts featured a little girl whose plaits would twirl around like a helicopter whenever she ate the noodles. The first time I tried the noodles, I made my mother plait my hair, and began to cry when my plaits didn't even move. Plus I didn't even like the noodles!

When tv hosts said "give them a round of applause" on gameshows, I used to believe they were saying "give them a round on the floors". In response, I'd lean down and trace circular/round patterns on the floor with my fingers - and wondered why nobody else ever did the same!
