When my sister and I were little, we used to think that our lives were being filmed as movies. We thought they stopped the movie at night when we were sleeping and then continued it in the morning.

When I was little I used to think there was a real person controlling the video games as I played them. I would sometimes even talk to them and tell them to go easy on me and stuff.

When I was in 6th grade I really liked the show Sailor Moon. However, I was for some reason afraid if people knowed I watched it they would think it was dumb and make fun of me. So I was really scared of people at school finding out and I even had a nightmare that it happened once! Seems kinda silly now...

When I was a small girl, I used to believe I wasn't allowed to watch any "boy shows" because they were too violent. This may have begun with seeing an episode of Batman: The Animated Series (you know, the one with the huge adult fanbase) at a friend's house, which makes sense... but I also thought I wasn't allowed to watch Freakazoid, Dragonball Z, or Earthworm Jim because they were also about superheroes.
This was disappointing because I wanted to go as Earthworm Jim for Halloween. I just thought he was so cool-looking! (My fantasies of Halloween that year involved inflatable super-suits.)
I used to believe that when movies were filmed, the people in the background were not paid extras, but really cool people who understood that they should just keep walking so they didn't mess up the filming.
I thought that when I turned the tv off all the shows would stop. Then start playing again when the tv was turned back on

My sister and I used to believe that Lucille Ball was our grandmother because they looked a lot alike. We thought that somehow being a "redhead" meant having brown hair because our grandma's hair was brown and they were always talking about how Lucy was a redhead on I Love Lucy (which of course was in black and white.) We also thought a local store owner was Hulk Hogan from the WWF and a local beautician was Jenny Craig.
I used to believe that in Jurassic Park, when everyone was standing by the raptor fence for the first time, that Dr. Grant asked the "Australian Guy" (Muldoon) Can I show and tell it." instead of the line "Do they show intelligence?"

TV had a great power over me. When I was about four years old a program featured a train coming down the track heading straight for me. When it appeared to be too close I jumped out of the way.
Another time I fell in love with the Old Gold cigarette girl who danced in the commercial. I thought about breaking the TV screen so I could jump in and join her. (Never tried it though.)_

When I was a kid there was a commercial for BP that ending with the words "on the move". For some reason I thought it said "on the moon" and thought it was a weird thing to say as why would you they put a gas station on the moon? ;)
I used to believe that all characters from TV shows were real. My parents told me that the Teletubbies lived in England, so when my cousin went to England I asked her to bring me back a Teletubbie.

When I was little, I used to think that actors in movies were little people and the old school VHS cassette tapes were their homes, and they would pop out when you put it in the VCR and them running around inside was the movie. I would always evenly play all of my tapes to make sure none of them felt left out.
I used to believe that in actions movies when extras would die that the director would go out and find homeless people to actually kill. Granted this was before i knew what special effects were.

When my dad got the program Turbo Tax I asked my brother what it was and he said it is a video game where the government is trying to kill you for not paying your taxes and you have to escape! (I'm not sure if he actually believed this or was tricking me)
