I used to think the people on the tv were real and didnt know that they were in tv. I was terrified they would find out and know that I was being so nosy in their lives. I also thought they would have to wait for a kid to grow all the way up to continue taping there lives. I was 3-5

When I was little, I used to believe that the movies where the actor goes from a child to an adult was really the actor as a child and the director had to wait until the actor was an adult before he could film the adult part of the movie.

I used to think that, when a show had a commercial break, it was in fact over. I would always get disappointed and change the channel, wondering why episodes of Power Rangers never made much sense. My mother assured me that the shows continue after a few minutes, when I was about 5.

When I was about 8, I was wondering how they knew what kind of people watched TV shows, since I'd heard things like "75% of our viewers are male!" or "800 people watch our show!" and so on. I came to the conclusion that they had cameras in every TV and could see you while you watch it and judge your reaction.

I'm about to turn 14 and I STILL refuse to change clothes in front of a TV that is turned on. Lol.

I never understood the magic of video cassettes. I truly thought that when inserting the cassete into your VCR, there was a signal sent to the studio, upon which the actors would immediately jump up and begin performing.

When I was little I always sat in the backseat of my dad's truck with my head near a speaker. I used to think that there were live beetles inside each speaker playing every song because the only band I had ever heard of was the Beatles.

I believed that actors who died in a movie--got paid a lot of money----went out and had a blast till the money ran out----then went and got killed in the movie---don't know where I got that idea

When i was little, my grandmother used to babysit my sister and me and watch movies with us. Whenever the FBI Copyright warning would come on, i'd ask what it was and grandma would invariably answer "Don't worry about that. It's not for kids." For some reason i took this to mean it was "adult content" and looked away for fear of accidentally seeing naked people and getting in trouble with the FBI. It never occured to me to question why there would be porn at the beginning of my favorite Disney cartoons.

I used to believe that the people we see on Television where small people that were simply encapsulated and made to act in a box and that if we could actually break the box we could free the small people.

I used to think TV actors would just wait around in the studio and jump into action when I switched on their channel. They did everything in one take and started acting in the middle of the episode if that's when I flipped the show on. I also thought that people on black and white shows actually looked black and white and performed on a black and white set.

When I was a kid I loved commercial jingles like the Barbie commercial: "We girls, can do anything... WHITE Barbie" (despite my parents pointing out it was "right Barbie?" I insisted it made sense because the doll was, in fact, Caucasian.
