when I was little I used to belive that someone keept adding parts to movies I watched. Realy though I would leave the room without stoping the movie and come back to watch later. Then when I rewatched that movie I would see the parts I missed (the new parts

I used to think that since old movies and shows were in black and white, that meant that color wasn't invented in the real world until the 60's.

I also thought the "Rush Hour" was when Rush Limbaugh was on the radio, and that this somehow created more traffic.

When I was very young, I came home to find my dad playing on the NES. I asked him what he was doing, and he told me that the "games" on the machine were actually training programs used to keep astronauts at NASA sharp. Later in life as I started playing video games myself, I learned that this was not true, but until very recently I was convinced that the game he was playing at the time - Tetris - was an astronaut training game.

When I was little, I memorized the video game rating system, so I knew what games my parents would let me play. On the little flier, they were in the Order: EC, E, E10+, T, M, AO, and RP. Next to them, they had the description. I believed that RP (rating pending) meant that the game was so bad, you had to call the company for permission to play it.

When I was little, I had a neighbour who owned two VCRs so she could make... erm... "archival back-ups" of her video collection (and the video store's as well). I thought that if you played a different movie in each one, the characters from both would interract on screen like some sort of weird hybrid film.

When I was about 6 and would watch a sitcom, I thought the laugh track was other people sitting in front of their TVs watching the show, and that they could hear us. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how they were otherwise so quiet.

When I was little, a movie came out called "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum". For the longest time I thought it was "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Farm".

Back when the film "Aliens" came out, I was reading an article about it and how it was 'seven years in the making' after the first film. I thought that meant "Aliens" took seven whole years to film. The kicker was that I was 13 years old at the time and should have known better. ;P

When I was little, I used to watch "Underdog", and on that cartoon was a character named Polly Purebred. Being around five years old, I had no idea what a pure bred dog was, and thought that it was weird that Polly Purebred was named after some kind fancy bread.

When I saw the original "Amityville Horror" film, it was the first time I had heard the name "Jodie"--the name the daughter gives the evil demonic pig. For years after that I believed anyone named "Jodie" was evil.

When I was younger, I used to believe when movies would show the attention slide, that �no unauthorized reproduction� meant that it was illegal for people to have sex in a movie.

I never liked kids TV shows, so I watched grown up TV on grown up channels. During commercials there would sometimes be movie previews and the announcer would always say "rated R" very fast, so I thought it was one word, "ratedar," and I always wondered what it meant.

I used to believe black and white TV shows were shot in color and that color had to be invented at some point.
