I used to believe…

When I was seven I went to Disney World, and we rode on this one ride in MGM Studios that was about a bunch of various movies (I think it was called the Great Movie Ride or something). And there were narrators, who doubled as actors I guess, but I had no clue about that part.

When we got to this one part, one of the narrators (who was also an actor, which I didn't know) was doing this Old West hold-up-type thing. And she ran into this building and the building CAUGHT FIRE!!!! So I thought she caught fire too NOOO! The flames were apparently real too...you could feel the heat as we went past them. And I was just like "WHY WOULD THEY JUST KILL HER LIKE THAT?!"

I stood corrected when she came back out at the end of the ride. YAY!

I used to think that a sign in a storefront window that advertised "HEARING AIDS" was a support group for people with H.I.V. It never crossed my mind that it might be a place to buy devices to help you hear better.

i used to think that the people on TV can hear you talking at home, so whenever my parents started talking about something else when the news was on i felt bad for the newsreaders, coz i thought that they knew they were being ignored.
So i would always pay really close attention to every news story and say 'mmm' knowledgeably at various intervals, right up until someone realised why i was doing it and put me straight, otherwise i would probably still be doing it now. :D

I use to think that whatever the last number in the year it was, made the year look like whatever channel that number was on TV. For example when it was 1993, I use to think that what was happening in my life looked like something that would happen on Channel 3.

i used to believe that the music on the radio was really the bands playing at the station that the time however i could not understand how they could travel so fast to get to other cities

i used to beleive that this cartoon i loved to watch was real, and one night i had a dream that i was in the cartoon with all the characters and for weeks after that dream i actually felt sad because i wanted to live with those characters.

I loved game shows as a kid but I could never figure out what they meant by "constellation prizes." I thought those sounded way better than any car or money but they always went to the losers. Now when I hear "consolation prize" I get a little sad that they aren't getting a group of stars.

I used to believe that Actors and Actresses in Shows Were Actually Being Taped so i changed it to another show with 1 of the same actors and im like How can she tape there when shes taping there it totally confused me. In other words i thought it was Live.

when i was a kid we had a nintendo 64. i was sure that somewhere out there two guys were sitting in a room full of TV monitors watching all the nintendos in the world and laughing at how bad i was at super mario.

I played Chrono Trigger (Best game of all time, if ya haven't played it, get the DS remake now) a lot as a kid, and I was terrified because I thought Lavos really would come and destroy the world in 1999. When the year 1999 did come, I was panicking because I knew that any day Lavos would awaken. But then when 2000 came and I didn't die, nor become a survivor in a dystopian world, I was utterly confused. Then it came to me! Crono and friends defeated Lavos!

When I was in like third grade I got a used Pokemon Saphire game because I lost my old one. I decided to play the existing file and was amazed at how good it was. He had every Pokemon, a bunch of level 100 legendaries, tons of rare candies, and 60 Master Balls. I was stupid and believed that he actually worked hard to catch every Pokemon and get level 100 legendaries, but I was stumped as to how he got the Master Balls, since there's only one in the game. I asked my friend and he said "The previous owner probably used Action Replay"

Since Action Replay is a cheating device where you insert codes, a lot like Game Shark. Anyway, since Action Replay at the time was a pretty new program, I of course, had no idea what it was and that it was like Game Shark, which I had heard of. I took the "replay" part of Action Replay literally and assumed it was a program that let you play any part of the game over and over again and what happened during those replays would affect your current data. So I thought that he replayed the part where you get the Master Ball 59 times to get 60 of them.

I used to be very disturbed by the TV show Murder She wrote because I was conviced Jessica Fletcher (Angela Landsbury) was the one killing all the people and pinning it on other people. People were always dying when she was around. Why was I the only one noticing that?!?

I used to believe that before color television was invented, that the world was actually black and white. I thought that we invented color and changed the world from black and white to color.

I used to believe if I looked through the small ventilation slots in the back of our tv, then anyone in front of the tv would see me on the screen.

I used to think that cartoon characters were just people wearing costumes. So one day I asked my older sister what she would do if she met one of the characters from a show we watched. She just laughed at me, and explained that they were drawings.

I used to think that if you began in the morning you would easilly have enough time in one day on any given radio station to play all the records that have ever been made and that this was what music stations did, they just rearranged the order ever day
