After watching the movie of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the original 80's version) I was convinced shredder and his evil mutants were going to appear out of a sewer from my bedroom floor. The fact my house was sitting on a massive concrete slab didn't factor into it. I was terrified for years after that........

When I was little, I had heard about live shows, where people dress up in big costumes and go perform.
When I heard about this, I begun to believe that all cartoons were acted out live by actors in painted costumes.

When I was younger, I used to beleive that every time a commercial came on, it was acted right there, live. So I felt very bad for the actors because they would act the same commercial over and over again every time it came on. I felt especially bad for the ones who acted in the commercials that rerun again and again and again...
I was told by my cousin that every car park that had the words 'max headroom' above the entrance had in fact been visited by the 80's computer generated head on TV - Max Headroom.

When I was a little boy I would watch old films with my Grandmother who spoke very broken English with a thick Greek accent.
I was about 15 yrs. old when I realised that
Bah Layngasstar and Tarra Parra
were actually Burt Lancaster and Tyrone Power.
Also I when I was about 11yrs old I used to think if there was an earthquake and California sunk into the ocean then there would be no more movies because all the movies were made in Hollywood.I figured that they could make movies in New York if that happened but they probably wouldn't be as good.
i used to believe there was a little tiny man inside the video camera my dad used to use. so when no one was looking i would get really close and tap on the glass, asking if he was okay, or if he needed some bread. we have the evidence on film

there were curtains under the big screens in the movie theaters and me and my friend thought there were naked people dancing behind it
I came from my country to the US when I was 14, so of course I was new to commercials. One day I saw this commercial, I forgot for what car dealer it was, but at the end it said, Drivers wanted. So, innocent me called, thinking they actually needed drivers to work. As soon as I saw that the guy didn't know what I was talking about, I hang up, and felt really stupid lol.

When I was younger, I used to think that the reenactments of the criminals on America's Most Wanted were the actual videos of the person committing the crime. I used to be confused as to how they could tape them committing the crime without catching them.

I used to believe White Christmas was an hour and a half of TV fuzz. I couldn't imagine why everybody liked the film so much.
I get really paranoid about cameras. The ones at school, the ones at work, and the ones that I'm sure are there, I just can't see them. I get especially freaked about NannyCams. I babysit for a few kids and I'm convinced their parents have them and watch my every move when they get home. I can thank Malcolm in the Middle for that one...

When I was about 3, I thought you could poke someone on the TV's eyes out by putting your finger over them. Plus they would shout 'ow'

When i was a kid i use to believe that the people on the TV could see me like i could see them.
I used to be afraid of changing clothes in front of the TV when I was little because I thought they could see me on the other side of the screen.
