When I was little (maybe 2 or 3), my family was sitting in the living room and my mom was watching the news. Operation Christmas Child was on the report, and when I heard that the kids didn't get presents, I took one of my presents from under our Christmas tree and tried to give it to one of the kids on the tv.

As a kid I loved the Star Wars movies, and wholeheartedly believed that they would happen in the future. I used to sit in my mom's room staring at a plastic bag trying to use the "force" to pick it up.

That my doll was evil like Chucky and talked.I ran home all freaked out and crying to my mom.I later found out my sister and her friend had pushed the stomach on the doll when i wasn't looking to get the doll to talk.They had a good laugh at my expense.

When i was about 5 my grandparents were big fans of the show "The Young and The Restless" which is a soap opera.

Well, i used to get annoyed because i wanted to watch cartoons and they just had to watch "The Young and The Rest Of Us"

I used to believe that when a comercial came on during a TV show, the show kept playing, and we were missing that part of it. I found out the truth when I was 12 or 13, when we were watching a particularly suspensful TV show, and a comercial came on right at the hight of the suspense. I yelled at the TV "Why do they always make us miss the good parts?!" My Dad laughed and told me how it really works.

I used to believe that there were little people living in the VCR or DVD player, and whenever you wanted to watch a movie, you would put in the video (Or DVD) in to know which people to put on,
and whenever you fast forward, they would move extremely fast, rewind was to make them redo something,and so I would continuously press PLAY STOP REWIND PLAY FAST FORWARD just to drive them nuts and have them talk to me. I'm 13 now, I believed that until I was about 10 when I started watching Disney channel and figured out they were just actors recorded and signals sent via satellite

When I was little I thought that watching TV too closely would give you sqaure eyes. So I one day went up to the TV and watched it real closely and turned to my mother and said "are my eyes sqaure". My little sister had a friend who used to watch the TV real closely and she had an eye patch (due to the fact she had a weak eye) but I thought it was the damage from her getting sqaure eyes!

when i was little while watching TV, i used to believe that the people i saw on TV were actual little tiny people inside the TV, and if you broke open the TV everyone would come running out of it.

I didn't understand that movies could be filmed in separate scenes, and I wondered how the actors changed their clothes in the split second between scenes.

I used to believe that the people singing on the radio were live and at the radio station singing. One time, my mom and I were listening to the radio on Christmas eve night, and I asked her, "How come there are people singing tonight? Shouldn't they be home with their families for Christmas?" That's when she told me that it was a recording.
