The people talking on my mums radio were actually tiny people inside the radio - one man and one woman it seemed, about 2 inches tall. I couldn't figure out where the music came from, or how they kept so quiet when the radio was switched off.

When I was litle, I would watch TV and see previews for movies. They always ended by saying "...soon in a theater near you!" I always assumed that the city we lived in was called U, because we always had to drive to another city nearby (my town was very small) to see movies.
I used to believe that in movies, the same person played himself that of when he was a kid. I had thought that they actually waited til that person reached that age to continue filming again.

Ever since I saw the film 'the witches' I wouldn't sleep on the floor in my friend's house because I was too scared because I thought the witches would come and turn me into a rat.

When I was really young, like four or five years old I always wondered how cartoons were made. Then I came up with the notion that they were real people dressed up in funny costumes with intense bright lights on them... my brother said I used to eat paint chips so idk I'm blamin it on that.

One time when I was small I was watching t.v. with a mother and an add for a beauty product came on. I wasn't interested in getting the beauty product being a little kid, but I made some comment about how it "looked good." My mother, in an attempt to make me think more realistically when viewing commericals, explained that you couldn't always believe advertisments, especially since the companies just wanted to sell their products. But instead of becoming more open-minded, I took her quite literally and I was under the impression that anything advertised on t.v. had to be total crap. I figured that sensible people, like my parents for instance made sure not to buy products advertised on t.v. I was quite shocked to find some Mr. Clean under the sink one day . . . how could my parents expect it to be any good? It was always on television!
I used to believe that one of the cinema workers sat where the projector is and got paid to sit and watch the whole film so he could fix the machine quickly if anything went wrong. I think I got this from seeing a guy's head above the projector when I looked up there once. Maybe there was a problem with the machine at the start of the film or something and he was checking it?
Anyways, seeing him led me to believe they have to sit up there through the whole film.

This is one that my daughter (who is 8) believes...that you can fastward DVR by rewinding it. She does'nt understand that real time is still moving and that when she rewinds and forwards it back that she can only go to live tv. It drives me insane, I tell ya!

On Blue's Clue's, whenever there was a clue, the host, Steve, never saw it at first. So some kids would have to yell "A clue! A Clue!" and yell other things throughout the show. Well, when I was a kid, I thought that yelling directly into the TV's speakers could enable kids all around the world to hear me.

When I was about 4 I was watching Sesame Street. Someone on the show found a secret passage in a normal looking wall. I looked around and saw the outlets in the wall and thought that they must be keyholes to the secret passages in my house. I stuck a key into the outlet... thankfully it wasn't the heavily charged side. No secret passageway opened, and I was so embarressed at having put a key into it that I made myself pull it out so no one would find out.

up untill a few weeks ago i thought that the way that they got tv ratings was that there were little machines inside every single tv in the country and they would record every single thing you watched and knew exactly when you changed the channel so i used to try annoy the rtings people by flicking through the channels for ages and thinking "rate that suckers!"

When I was young my mom toold me that the people on the news could see me as well as me being able to see them so if I wasn't on my ver best behavior they would send some one to take me away. Turns out she just wanted to watch the news in peace.
I used to believe that a "Sitcom" was any live-action comedy show. So, like, Spongebob wouldn't be a sitcom, because it's a cartoon. I also thought that the name meant Sit-Comedy, you would SIT down and laugh and the COMEDY.

My best friend's name is Selena. She told me that when the movie Selena came out, she thought it was about her. She was ecstatic that she would be so famous, then her mom told her at the end Selena dies at age 24 by being murdered by some whacko fan, and she decided to "change her future" by not being famous. She works at Panera now, but we're only 15....
