When I was little (now i'm 19) there was a milk commercial on TV where village family went in field and then boy started milking cow by... pumping her with her tail like pumping water with handle, and mother was gathering milk pouring from udders. For some time, I believed this is actually how we get milk from cows! (my mum iluminated me when I told her my theory once...)

I use to be convinced that commercials were only made by companies that were doing badly. I felt so clever telling my parents that I've discovered their secret plot to make us buy products that didn't work very well.

when i first saw the opening for beverly hillbillies, i thought he shot a bunny or something in the bushes and the dark liquid pouring out was actually blood
i cried and wondered why the people were so happy

i used to think that when you turned on the tv there was a stage somewhere just for your tv and when you turned the tv on people got on stage and you were watching it live and when you changed the chanel that new people would run on the stage, and thats why it took a while for the chanel to change

I used to believe that the TV shows which you could hear the studio audience laughing were the people at home laughing. So, I would get right to the speaker of the TV and scream really loud thinking everyone watching could hear me.

I use to jump when I was playing Mario games, because I thought that would make me jump higher

I thought that when I was playing Game Boy, and I would say something realated to why I was winning, the Game Boy would hear me, and make me lose. So when I played Game boy, I used to put tape in my mouth.

When I was 2, I used to belive that barney was behind the tv when I would watch him, and he was just acting out the scenes behind the tv

When I was about 3 - 3 and a half, I believed that Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Alice from Alice in Wonderland lived in the lady's house down the road. Whenever we visited I never saw them and was CONVINCED, WITHOUT a DOUBT, that she was hiding them behind a closed door that I was never allowed in.

I used to believe that people on t.v. could see me. Once in awhile, I would flip off Mr. Rogers ( kids show host, make-believe, etc) and then feel guilty. It was always Mr. Rogers, or the weatherman for some reason.

I misread the title of this B-movie, "The Creature from the Black Lagoon", when I was a kid, so I'd squeal, "The lagoon is coming to get me!" all the time.

My parents tried to explain it to me, but I guess I never got it.

when we were little, me and my sister thought that if you ran into the tv really fast, you could jump in it. laughing at this, we were at our friends house and shes got a 3 year old niece. we told her that mickey mouse wanted her and to go in. "no! mommy will miss me!" she said. we told her to come right back out and she actually tried...i know, we're mean..

For some reason, I once thought that OJ Simpson invented the Simpsons TV show. I asked my mom about this one day, and I stood corrected. It turned out that OJ was a past-football player and Matt Groening or whoever was the guy who invented the show. Now I wonder if Homer J Simpson was named after OJ.

When I was about 8 years old I used to whatch Blue Peter and the children's TV shows a lot.
It wasn't a very long time ago so all of the presenters used to wear earpieces. I then assumed that all of these ear pieces were hearing aids, leading me to the final conclusion that all TV presenters were deaf.
I always wanted to be one at that age so when I had an operation on my ear about a year later I thought that my dream would come true!...

i used to think that the seasme street characters where real. then one day i was flipping through a magazine and saw a story on the seasme street characters where on strings i quickley closed it and said that they where mean for lying. i also thought barney was real so i wanted him to come to my birthday party with min(a girl on the show)
