I used to believe that the credits at the end of the movies were the names of the people in the theater watching the film. I remember being terribly disappointed at not seeing my name on the screen but reasoned that I was too young to be counted.

When I was a kid, we had some large photos of relatives who had died. I felt like their eyes were following me around the room and watching everything I did. Everytime I was alone in the house, I would turn the pictures to the wall. Mom turned them back but never asked me why. Still today, photos with eyes that seem to follow you give me the creeps.

when i was little, i used to believe that the presenters on tv could actually hear you. whenever they would ask a question to the audience, i used to reply by talking into the grills at the back of the tv (where the heat is relesed.) i also thought that the canned laughter was your que to laugh and would force myself to laugh whenever it came on!

I used to believe that when a movie or programme ended on TV and the credits came up, that it was just time for parents to put their kids to bed and then go on watching!

I was only little, but whenever I was watching TV, it made me think that my whole life was also a TV show. As if people were watching me in a programme.
So I used to stand up randomly and do something funny, just so the viewers would like me more. Like Joey off Friends.

I used to think the music on the radio was always a live performance at that radio station.

In that old peter pan movie where Peter begs for you to clap so Tinkerbell wont die I believed that he could really see me in my house. At fist I didn't clap, my mom was and going 'come on!'. Then I sissy clapped but he was begging me so hard, so desperate, I'd finally clapped like crazy. Luckily Tinkerbell lived. I thought it was all due to me.

When I heard someone anounce their telephone number on a TV show, (say Dragnet, or Perry Mason, etc.) I thought that you could call that number and converse with that character while he's on that program.

I thought when a movie was shown, with ad breaks and stuff, all the actors took a break, so I always wondered what they were doing when there was a criminal and a good guy....i figured they would go to opposite sides of the rooms while being restrained by others.

My cousin told me that aliens could watch you through the television and the way you knew they were is that when the black and white television would turn off, it would go blank toward the middle, with that little white circle that would pause and disappear last.

When I was 14 (soooo embarrassing...) my friends and I got in big trouble for renting "Basic Instinct" on an afternoon off from school. But we weren't bad kids - just naive. You see, we thought all the sex and bad language was edited out for home video since once they're rented, anyone in the house can see them. So we had the double shock of seeing more than we wanted to and then getting in trouble for it!

After watching the film Mary poppins when I was a little girl, I was convinced that if I clicked hard enough, my bed would make itself.... It didnt work. Unfortunately, it didnt stop me trying to slide down the banister, and the result was a broken arm.

I never got around to trying tea on the ceiling, as of that day I stuck with flying kites.
