i used to believe that when i watch GODZILLA,
TOKYO city is in a big problem and many people are killed by her.
I used to believe that all the actors I saw on t.v got phone calls one day telling them they have to act. I was a shy kid and did not want to be an actress so I dreaded the day someone would call my house to tell me I need to act on a t.v show.
I used to believe that black-and-white TV was there for you to colour in, I got in so much trouble when I put crayon on my Nanna's telly, then realise that the pictures moved too fast for me to colour them all in!

When I was young, I asked my mom how they filmed stuff like people jumping off cliffs, and she explained that they'd have a stuntman jump and land on a cushion, and then they'd move the cushion and show the actor on the ground, as though he'd landed there. Somehow, I got it turned around, and thought that if the stuntman did the jump, he'd actually land on the hard ground, and then they'd pick him up and put a cushion under him and pick up the filming again. I couldn't understand why that would prevent him from getting injured, or why I hadn't see these cushions in the movies.

since i was little, my walls had been covered with pictures... i used to believe that the people in the pictures could actually see me, and so i covered my head with my sheets at night becuase i was embarassed for them to see me sucking my thumb!

do you remember the commercial with the scrubbing bubbles. they had little faces and they cleaned your tub. i thought they were real. when my mother bought the cleaner. i ran into the bathroom very excited because i was finally going to get to see the little guys. needless to say i was devasted when only white foam came out and there were no little bubble guys to play with.

When my best friend was little, she used to wait for her mom to finish washing the linoleum kitchen floor so that she could stand on it and talk to Mr. Clean, who she believed would then appear in them, just like in the commercials.

When I was a kid, there was a TV ad for pizza sauce and the jingle said, "Open yourself....some Pizza Quick Sauce. And open your own....pizzeria!". That was the first time that I'd heard the word "pizzeria", and thought that it must be some special type of diarrhea that you got from eating pizza.

When I was younger George Foreman was doing the Meineke commercials. Everytime we rode by the one near us, I used to think that he would be in there if I went in, and I wanted to go and meet him.

I used to believe that shows like Little House on the Prairie and Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman were actually filmed back in the times the shows were based in.

When I was a child I believed Chucky from Child's Play lived under my bed. At night after everyone went to sleep, he would come out of his house and try to kill me. Whenever I thought he was coming I would hold my breath because I believed he would think I was already dead if he couldn't see my chest rise and fall. I also believed if my cat was on my bed he wouldn't come out because he was scared of my cat.
I used to believe that if you bought an "M" (Mature 17+) video game, and you were under 17, even if you were 16 and 364 days, you would either go to jail, or be forced to watch Barney forever. I'm 12 now and I'm horrified to see other year olds play Mature's, but I do have 1 or 2 which I got unaware of the rating. I also thought some thing similar between the ages of 3-6 about "T" (Teen 13+) games, but I got my first "T" when I was 7. I was horrified at first, but now I almost exclusivly buy "T" games.
I used to believe that people (cartoon characters aswell) on the TV could hear you if you shouted loud enough, so everytime i saw a charcter i liked, i yelled at the screen and wondered if they heard...
I was about 5 or 6 at the time. We used to have a gabage can JUST like the one Oscar the Grouch has in our basement. I used to tell my little friends that came over not be too loud or Oscar would come out and yell at us! They would always believe me!

This is OLD school -- I was about 4 or 5. Remember the little window garden that Ernie (from Sesame Street) used to have? In his garden lived a tiny little bug town. He would talk with them and watch them. Well, I was amazed by this, so every garden I saw I would check for the little bug friends like Ernie had. I remember being dissapointed when I wouldn't find them:(

When i was 5 I watched 'Puzzle Place' that show with all the puppets. I really did think everytime they did the opening music, the puppet, Ben was looking right at me, i used to have a huge crush.
Even told my parents, "When i'm older, i am going to New York to Marry Ben!"
Imagine how i felt when my parents told me, he was only a puppet.

Here in Germany we always had those adverts for cleaning agents. After the woman had cleaned the bathroom with them she was standing in front of a mountain. I didn't understand that this meant that the bathroom smelled as fresh as the air on a mountain after you've cleaned it. So I always asked my bother to buy it because I wanted to go on holiday on a mountain.

when i was little i was convinced that life was a big television show and we were being watched on t.v. somwhere
I thought that people (or things) on TV could see you. This was confirmed when I was 4 and I was watching KidSongs. The little blue sock puppet guy was choosing someone to sing a song and I happened to be wearing a pink shirt and he goes "You, in the pink shirt!" and so I started singing the song :). Later I tried to convince my dad that the TV people can see you!
