I used to believe that cameras were everywhere. I mean EVERYWHERE, even in my room, in the shower, at school- Ok, well its normal to have cameras at school... But anyway, when i talked to my friend about it, i got over it.

My grandpops tricked me into thinking a lil man lived in our stereo, and he had a pet bird. When I looked into the CD drawer, he'd whistle like a bird and make funny voices. I'd sit there for ages talking to the man in the radio.

I used to think that when you turned off the TV, it paused like a video. I remember having a temper tantrum when I was younger. I was watchin a cartoon and my mum said we had to go shopping and that the show would still be on later. A few hours later and I discovered the news was on, I was so angry cuz someone had unpaused the TV.

Around the age of the 8 or 9 I noticed that Barbara Eden in the "I Dream of Jeannie" repeats was pretty darn sexy. I was convinced that a) this was just an accident of the production rather than intentional and b) I was the ONLY PERSON WHO NOTICED THIS. I believed that for 6 years.

I used to believe that actors would volunteer to die whenever I saw someone get shot in a scene. In fact I remember that it was a scene from TJ Hooker movie.

Remember the "Wonderful World of Disney" that used to come on ABC? Well, now I know it aired on Sunday no duh, but I really thought the announcer was saying something like "The Wonderful World of Disney proudly presents... Beauty and the Beast...Someday at 7:00, only on ABC!!!"
When he was really saying "Sunday" at 7:00.
On account of this, I thought I had to keep waiting and waiting until "someday" ABC decided to finally air Beauty and the Beast. So instead of watching it on Sunday, I'd be in front of the TV on weekdays to be terribly dissapointed and finally came to the conclusion that ABC was fibbing. I thought it was some kind of joke and I always wondered who the wise guy was. It took a whole lot of coaxing from my babysitter one "Someday" to find that i didn't have to wait and that ABC was not a big, fat liar, decieving poor little kids like me.

while watching commercials, i used to think that the actors would react the commercial over and over again, not that it was taped. I always thought they were amazing that they could do it perfect everytime

When I was little, there was a show that my father watched which seemed like all the time called "Dinosaurs" about a robot/costume -like dino family who led human lives in the Stone Ages. They kinda were like the Simpsons too. Anyways there was this one episode where Senclaire, (the father dinosaur) couldn't wait to get rid of his rude, pain-in-the-ass, aging mother-in-law. In the show, it was the custom to throw the elderly into a deep, deep hole just before death. They even demonstrated this in a little clip with a poor dino being thrown into the pit, screaming at the top of their aging lungs. After viewing the clip, Sencliare and his boss laughed. Senclaire's son asked him if his grandmother should find her way out of the pit, and an eager Senclaire scoffed "Once you're in, you're in." And this on account scared me to no end. (Im clausterphobic by the way.)

Well, needless to say, I was TERRIFIED of being thrown into a deep dark pit with already rotting bodies whom had met the same ordeal before me. And i believed humans in real life did this to their poor elderly. I remember crying for my grandpa, and ultimately dreading the day I would meet my fate.

I would tell everyone I never wanted to get old. No one does, but my real reason was so I could escape being chucked into this so-called pit. At one point my greatest mission in life was to find and cover up the pit.
I remember crying to my mother, asking would they force me to attend Grandpa's "pit" ceremony when his time came. Naturally, she was very confused.

It never really did occur to me that we actually "bury" our dead. And to this day, whenever we pass a cliff or a hole, my brothers oh-so graciously remind me.

I used to think the "Scrubbing Bubbles " commercial bubbles, were real! I begged my mom over and over to buy the product when we were shopping. I really wanted to see those cute lil scrubbing bubbles at work! With those big eyes, cute little smiles........I was 4 or 5 at this stage.

I used to believe Lindsay Lohan had a real twin and that people were not showing her very much to keep her twin a secret.

when i was younger, the tv had to 'warm up' before it could actually show anything on screen..when you turned it on, it was just white noise..and then the national anthem would play then all the shows would start to air..and whenever i got too close to the tv or touched the screen, my mother told me that the tv would suck my blood if i touched it or came too close to it..i actually thought that up until i moved to north america...

As a child, maybe until I was about 7 or 8, I always wanted to send off for every special offer I saw on any kind of food or drink packet, whether it was for something I really wanted or not. I once saw on a bottle of tomato ketchup "Free from artificial colour and preservative". Because it had the word "free" on it, I thought it must be some kind of special offer. I was very disappointed when I tried to peel the label off and found no special offer underneath.

i use to think that when simba from the lion king grew up, he wasn't him and it was his dad that came back to life (since he looked a lot like him). Whenever someone would say, "no thats simba but hes older" i wouls start yelling at them and thinking how stupid they are for not realizing that his dad had come back to life.

On sweepstakes commercials, I would always hear them say "Many will enter, you will win..." In stead of "many will enter, few will win."

I entered many contests, but didn't win anything....

I thought the people who were on TV didn't know they were on TV, and we were just secretly watching them go about their lives without their knowledge.

I used to believe that the DJ on the radio was the same person all the time, 24/7, and that that he'd sleep during the advert breaks. I also thought that all the songs they played were performed live by the singers!

I used to believe that all my favourite cartoon characters were in the attic of my house. They had a window so that they could see down into my room. The window was magic, so when i looked up, all i could see was a ceiling.

I used to talk to them all the time while looking up at the ceiling, but i was too scared to climb up there because my brother told me there were monsters guarding the doors in the attic, but thats another story.
