I used to believe that if you took a polaroid of a television screen that the polaroid as it developed would continue to play out the scene!

I used to believe…

When I was little I watched a lot of PBS - Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street, Etc. Everytime they'd interupt a show to do a fundraising drive, I'd yell at the host and make fun of him/her. My mom told me the host could hear me and that I was hurting her feelings. I kept making fun of her anyway, but for a long time I thought that the people on TV actually lived inside the TV and could hear and see me.

When I was really little, we only had basic cable (17 channels or so), and there were only a select few shows that I was allowed to watch (Sesame Street, Polka Dot Door, Mr. Dress-up), and of course, my parents watched the news from time to time, and my dad watched golf. So, logically, I believed that these were the only shows in existence, and each show had its own channel. So, it made perfect sense to me to say "Can someone please turn the TV to Sesame Street" on any day, at any time.......and I'd be upset if it wasn't on, lol.

I used to belive that i could smash the T.V screen with a hammer and live with the people inside the T.V. I would always used to say "when i grow up im gonna smash the T.V & be famous." The funny thing now is that, thats my dream. To be on the big scream

I used to believe that the killer in the 'Scream' movies was named "Scream-Killer"(he's actually named Ghostface) and was the polite serial killer because he used to call people before killing them.

There is a commercial for a fast food resteraunt with a misleading song. The song is 'Big Hucking Chicken'. I accidentally miseard it as 'Big ****ing Chicken'.

I used to believe that commercials on T.V. were true. I begged my mom to buy the Chips Ahoy cookies with colored sprinkles. After I ate one, I said "Gee, it doesn't taste like a party in my mouth."

When I was little, I had one of those little tomagochi things (the handheld game things where you feed and take care of an animated pet) and I thought that I was truly controlling a real pet in another world and that if i didnt feed it or sumthing, it would die and i would be responsible

I used to believe…

Until I was about 10, I never understood why people claimed to have cried during the Disney movie "Bambi". That was because I had never registered the fact that Bambi's mother had been shot and died - I was under the impression that she had been hit with tranquilizer and taken to a wildlife preserve. At the time it seemed like a perfectly good explanation to me. Wouldn't you be sad if your mom was taken to a preserve and you weren't?

Of course, the logic doesn't stop people from teasing me relentlessly.

I thought that some game controllers had "EXPLODE" buttons and if you pressed it then the TV would explode. I don't know why, because I have never actually seen a "EXPLODE" button, maybe I thought something else said "EXPLODE" when it actually didn't

I used to believe…

In the film 'Pulp Fiction', there is a line "Check out the big brains on Brett". my family has it as a soundbyte on the computer. As a little kid, I heard it as "Check out the big brains on BREAD"! I pictured a giant brain on two pieces of HUUUUUUUUGE white bread.

I used to think that whenever a character died in a show or moive, that the actor playing the character died. I used to think that acting must be a stupid job, cause one day you'd have to die, just to make the story.

i used to believe that actors in the film actually worked on screen in the movie theatre as on a stage and they come out when the theatre gets empty.

When I was a kid, I used to think that the girl on "Adventures In Wonderland" really did go through a real mirror to get to Adverture Land.

I used to believe that there were camera's all in my room that my parents set up so they could see what I was doing. I would always be so good and do good things, but if I wanted to do something my parents wouldnt like, I would hide under my covers and do it.

I used to believe that the SP in Game Boy Advanced SP stood for soggy pants. I used to think that it ment the games looked so good on it, it would make someone wet their pants.

When I was about twelve, my two-year-old sister got one of those My Buddy dolls for her birthday. Everyone thought it was so great because it was semi-interactive. The thing no one took into account was that right around the same time that stupid doll came out the Chucky movies came out. (Those who don't know who Chucky he is, he was a talking doll that murdered people...) I used to watch a lot of horror movies, and I hated that doll so much that if I saw it somewhere I would grab it and stuff it in the bottom of her toybox, hoping it would suffocate before it killed somebody.

I used to believe that tiny little gnomes lived inside my television, and anytime I pushed a button on the remote to watch something, they would run and search for the video tape of it, and put it in really quick.

My mom used to laugh at me when I'd try to look through the vents on the side of the television to peek at them.

When I was little, I believed that the songs I heard on the radio were all live. I wondered how the bands could go from one station to another in time to sing on both stations.
