I used to believe when I watched TV the people or cartoon characters I saw would come to my house and act behind the TV. When they "put" on a commercial I would yell at them.

June 5/06: I hope this belief isn't regarded as tasteless, but the TV sitcom MARRIED... WITH CHILDREN premiered in 1987 when I was 8, and being a child I always confused Al Bundy, the fictional sitcom character, with real-life serial killer Ted Bundy!

At one point in my youth "That Girl" with Marlo Thomas was on TV right next to Batman. I was a huge Batman fan and for some reason thought Thomas' show was "Bat Girl." I watched that show for what felt like years, waiting for her to turn into Bat Girl.

There used to be a channel called TechTV. On it, they had a show called "The Screen Savers". I used to think that it was a show where they showed Screen Savers which are those little videos that play when you walk away from your computer. As soon as I watched it I realized it was a show about computers.

When I was little, about 5 or 6, there was a commercial on TV for facial cream that would take ten years off your age. I was terrified that my mom would by some and somehow I would accidentally use it then dissappear because I was still under ten years old.

Way back in the 1950's there was a crime drama called "The Naked City". When my mother was a child, she heard about it when she was young and she thought it was about a city FULL of naked people. She got a big suprise when she first saw it.

When I was maybe 5 or 6, I used to believe that whatever channel I turned the television to would appear on every single television in the whole world. I would randomly flick through the channels or switch to a boring TV station if I felt like making the world mad.
