I've never actually had Sky TV and the first time I saw it was at my then boyfriend's house (now my fiance), only about 5 years ago so I was early 20s. Anyway I thought when the menu comes up and you can see what's on later on that day, that you could just go to that programme and watch it, even if it's not on til later that day. What an idiot!
Amazingly he's still marrying me even though I'm clearly totally stupid.

When i was around 5, I was convinced my parents had video cameras installed all over my room. i used to sit in there by myself, and talk to every possible bit of the wall so I would be looking in the lens and they would know I knew they were there. I'd sit there saying, 'I know your watching me' and 'i can see the cameras, do you think im stupid?' lol...
I have always loved pokemon all my life. However...at one point, it got a little too serious. When I was 6-right before 10, I believed that when I turned 10(in Pokemon, 10 is when you could start using/keeping pokemon), some kind of pokemon god would teleport me to the pokemon universe.

I was alway trying to impress the people on TV.
I used to think that there was a man playing guitar under my moms back seat in the car. He did all of the music that we heard on the radio. He was so talented and could sound like anyone. I always felt bad because he couldn't get out and eat, so I stuffed my McDonalds french fries into the cracks of the seat.

When I was younger, about 5, I thought Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange" (Dystopian Sci-Fi movie/novel) had something to do with an orange getting stuck in a clock and had no clue why it would get rated X because of that. I know now that it is a very violent movie and is condemned by Catholics.

When I was a child, I was insanely in love with a cartoon character. Up to the point of kissing and hugging the TV and worse when such and such was on. I also made lots of noises like "Come HERE!" and "SUCH AND SUCH PLEASE COME OUT!" and so on. I thought if I made a big enough noise the character would come out o' the screen and we would, um, marry. *whistle*. I had to go to a psycologist because of this. I still fantazise about such and such.

When I was a young teen in the late 40's, tv was a new thing to most households. While watching an old Western shoot-em-up, I asked my mom how they got someone to take the pictures when electricity hadn't been invented yet. I didn't realize they were actors on a set in more modern times.

When I was little I believed commericals on TV were "live" and re-enacted over and over again each time they were repeated.
One Saturday night our babysitter was trying to get us to sleep at 11 PM- I protested that the kids on the "slip and slide" commericial were still awake and working so I could stay up too; she asked if it the commercial wasn't "recorded" then why was it sunny outside at 11PM at night? My bubble burst then and there.

When I was little, there was a children's series called 'The Demon Headmaster', that was about a teacher that hypnotised the children with his eyes. When he took of his glasses, you could see his eyes going all green and swirly. I was terrified of getting hypnotised myself, through the TV screen, so I'd hide behind a cushion to protect myself from his mind controlling rays.
