When I was 7 my Dad let me watch Jaws, after that I believed he was in my waterbed. I slept on the floor for 2 weeks until my parents agreed to buy me a new bed.

When I was little and saw a black and white film I thought that the actors actually had black and white vision and not color. I thought that color didnt exist in their world.

when i was little i used to think that when you put a video into the vcr that it would somehow send a signal to the actors and they would preform it live everytime you watched the movie

I used to believe that when they made a movie, even the characters faces were made up. When I was about six, I was really shocked to see some character I recognized from a movie being interviewed. HOW could the actor look JUST LIKE the character?!?

When I first watched the movie Pretty Woman with Julia Roberts, her prostitute friend referred to someone as a "crack head". I had no idea what this term meant. I visualized a woman with a split running through the middle of her head.

I really don't know why, but when I was a kid I thought that Billy Dee Williams and Jesse Jackson were the same guy.

When I was very little I believed that every time you watched a movie the actors would have to be notified and would have to re-enact the entire movie while it was broadcast on the TV. I was always amazed that they didn't blink while the movie was paused.

My favorite belief from when i was about 10 was that E.T. lived next door. Our neighbor sounded just like E.T. I thought that couldnt be right because of course E.T. went home and why would E.T. be living next door to me. And how did he turn into a human instead of a alien... The odd thing is they have a tortose whose name really is E.T. that made me even more confused. Well he kinda looked like E.T. and maybe he didnt go home after all just shrank and moved into my neighbors yard... and gave his voice to my neighbor...My friends teased me for years when I told them I thought she sounded like him i never mentioned the rest... :)

My father was watching Camelot one evening (yes...the musical with Robert Goulet and Richard Harris). There is one scene when King Arthur is furious with his wife because she is being so unkind and unwelcoming to Sir Lancelot. The character of King Arthur has a song that he sings about it. At the beginning of the song, he is quite loud and slams a door or two. When I asked my dad why, he told me that it was because King Arthur drank some cola at dinner and the caffeine was keeping him up. He was unhappy and upset because he couldn't sleep.

I am ashamed to admit how many years I believed *that* one....

When I was about 4 or 5 my mom and I were watching Wizard of Oz. When it was over I asked her why the people forgot to color some parts of the movie. I believed someone took markers out of a box and colored the TV.

When movie previews would say something like "Only in theatres on November 3rd" I thought they would only be in theatres for one day and it used to really upset me.

I used to think when a add for a movie said "in theaters only" it meant it was never coming to video so if i wanted to see it i had to go to the theater. I remember being really sad because i thought i would never be able to see Fivel Goes West

i always thought that when i watched a movie, there were people behind my screen that were acting it out at the very moment for me.
