I thought the Stromtroopers in Star Wars were robots.
I watched movie The Ring 1 at the age of 10 and immedietly after the last shot I called everyone in my friend circle and my family and told them that I won't be here after 7 days cos I thought that as I saw that killing clip in the movie I would be dead after seven days too and at that time I was serious!
the first movie I ever saw with Johnny depp in it was Edward scissorhands when i was 6. For the longest time I thought the scissorhands were his actual hands.
For years I thought the local cinema should replace their curtains because as they opened the film shone through them!
After watching the film "Back to the Future II", I asked my dad for a hoverboard for christmas. He then painfully informed me they didn't actually exist.
i used to believe that when watching a movie in the theatre. actors would actually perform behind the canvas screen..how smart of me.??
top belief!
When I was young, my mum and dad let me watch 'Terminator 2'. I knew it was a film, but what stuck with me was the idea that if you ever did anything important, someone would come back from the future and try to kill you. I used to crawl to my bed from the door, just in case there were snipers in a helicopter outside. I was about 14 at this time...
Since I can remember, I was CONVINCED that the people in Pocahantas were Spanish, not English. I think it was because I saw something else with Spanish people who wore similar clothes. (For some reason I never wondered why a Spanish person would be named John Smith). :)
When i was 6 i used to constantly watch the sound of music but became increasing worried that Julie Andrews was getting angry and tired of having to keep singing for me and that she would lose her voice... also that the new readers could see me getting dressed so i used to hide behind the sofa... Pre-recorded obviously didn't mean a thing to me!
Until Recentyly I used to think
The scary cab driver in Home Alone 2 said
Emich Petter and Head Kid
I felt silly asking a cab driver what that meant.
I then realize he said
"Ain't much better in here kid"
I used to think that Jason Voorhees was a swiss cheese man instead of a slasher killer. I played a Friday the 13th game on the original Nintendo, but I wasn't aware it was based on a movie. So when I was fighting the Jason on the game, it was yellow, and it had what looked like holes in its face due to the hockey mask. And I was terrified of it, because it looked like swiss cheese. Once I found out that it was really a killer instead of swiss cheese, somehow I became less afraid of it. I was a strange kid...
I was five years old when the live action Flintstones movie came out. I actually thought that they had filmed it in the stone age! I thought "Rosie O'Donnel (she played Betty Rubble) must be REALLY old!!!" I got everything cleared up a while later.
I used to believe that when people kissed in movies they weren't really kissing. I thought they just pressed their cheeks against each other and moved their heads around so it looked like they were.
I thought kisses were reserved for special occasions, like for when you got married or found a boyfriend (in real life, of course).
When i was a little kid like 5 or 6 i thought that movies where real, like someone toke a camera and filmed people in their real lives. like i thought full house was a real house with real kids and someone was videtaping them and they didnt know it!
I used to believe that when that they were filming The Wizard Of Oz that thay invented colored movies and they had half black and white, half colored movie.
I was watching this scary movie with my uncle and it had scary music. The next day when I went to the park, I thought that the band of men that were in the movie were coming to get me since I thought that the same music was playing. I ran to my aunt at the playground. I said in my high-pitched voice, "A band of men are coming to get me!!! (I pointed to where I saw them) See!!!". Then I hid behind me aunt hoping that they wouldn't eat us or if they had to, that they would eat my aunt first!!!
When I was young, I thought that the movie Anne Of Green Gables was called Anna Greengables and I always thought why would they pick that last name for her when she lives in Green Gables? Won't people make fun of her?
In the movie "Grease" when Sandy was saying that she didnt drink, I was like WOH!!! She doesnt even drink water???
When I was young and watched "The wizard of Oz" I misinterperted the ending. I thought that Dorothy really HAD gone to Oz.... and I was so crushed when I found out she really hadn't. It was one of the most dissapointing moments of my childhood!
When I was a child I believed that when going to the movies the actors were really performing in back of the big white screen. Just before Star Wars I turned to my Mom and said, "Wow, those actors must be really tired because after this show they have to do the next one at 5 PM." Mom told me that is not how it works!. I, at the age of 5, had no concept of "film".
