I used to believe there were little people inside the radio making the music or talking. I figured there had to me more to it when I ran into 2 radios set on the smae station.
I used to think that when you turned off the radio, the song that was playing would come back on and finish when you turned the radio back on.
At one time, I believed that there were tiny people inside the radio that sang all the songs. When my Mom told me that the music came from a radio station, I wondered (1) how they all fit in there at once, and (2) how they got from station to station so fast!
that when the radio played it was really coming from the roof where all the bands lived.
I use to believe that music on the radio was made by little people who LIVED inside the radio. Men would sing solos and group #'s and the same for women.
I asked my dad how the sound came through the radio and he told me that there were little people inside.
I used to think old radios would play only old music. For instance i thought my mom and dad's old radio would only play like Beatles and 60s music.
I used to beleive that little people lived inside the speakers of a radio. I had no idea what a "studio" was until I was 11.(sad huh?)
From the age of 5 till about 8 ,i used to believe that there were little men inside the radio.Hence the sound coming out(like a miniture studio).but then i was a strange boy !!
i thought that there were tiny people in the radio and i couldn't understand how they got in there and left without me seeing them
I used to believe that bands and singers were actually in the radio station playing live over the radio. All day long, bands and singers rotated out of the station playing their songs.
I BELIEVED THAT WHEN THE RADIO STATION 1010 WINS WOULD SAY, "YOU GIVE US 22 MINUTES, WE'LL GIVE YOU THE WORLD", I'D BE OWNER OF THE WORLD AFTER MY 22 MINUTES. I ALWAYS WONDERED WHY NOTHING EVER CHANGED AFTER THE BROADCAST.
When I was a little kid. I used to think that there were little people inside the radio
In our town we have a radio station that has had an ad that runs about selling ads on that station. The ad itself says "Radiads, the sound seller". Since I was a kid, I am now 36, I always hear tha ad as "Radiads, the sound cellar". I picture a dark cellar with lots of reel to reel tape and cassettes.
Also in "Papa was a rolling stone" I always thought that they sang, "...and when he died, all he ever left us was a loan". He left them in debt.
i thought that when a song played on the raido it was also playing on mtv. one day i was at my house listening to the radio and the paula abdule song "opposites attract" came on, (which i might add was my favorite song at the time and i loved the music video with the cartoon cat) so i ran into the living room where my mom was vacuuming and started freaking out and yelling for her to put the TV on. i was very disappointed to find out that my favorite video was not playing on mtv the same time the song was on the radio.
I used to believe that if you went to another town or state, the radio and TV programs would be different. The first time I traveled out-of-state, I was shocked that the radio still played the same songs that it played at home.
I used to think that all the radio stations reached the whole world. So naturally there would be only one country station, one rock.. etc.. I got mad when the radio played a recording of a song, and wondered why they didnt just have the band sing it live.. Becuase, duh, all the bands are right there in the radio studio right?
I was shocked to scroll through the radio stations and find another country station...
When I was little I use to believe that miniature versions of bands (like the Beatles) lived inside of the radio. I use to sit by the radio in the kitchen and stare at it, trying to figure out how they all fit in there.
I used to belive that if I was out in the car (for example) with the radio on, that when the car was turned off when we got home, that i could turn it on when I got in the house and the song that had been on would start up from where I left off in the car.
When I was a kid I use to believe that if you turned off the radio or T.V. and then turned them back on at a later time it would pick up where it left off.
