Radios had tiny musicians and tiny news anchors inside them who would sing songs and tell us what was happening in the world.

My parents had a full-sized van (complete with red shag carpeting!:) we always used for road trips. Whenever the radio was on I would lay in the back watching the speakers convinced I could see the bands playing each song...turns out it was just my reflection.

When I was younger I was absolutely sure that the speakers in the car must have tiny people in them performing the songs and saying the advertisments. I thought this for years. It wasn't until I realized that Elvis was DEAD that finally asked my dad how the stereo worked. I still don't understand...
