People on TV shows live inside the television

When I was very small I used to believe that tiny people lived in my television. I thought that they'd go through very quick costume, make-up and wig changes as I flicked through the channels.

When I was a kid I used to think the people on Sesame Street were really in my TV and if I broke the glass I could crawl in and join them and have fun. I never tried though.

I used to believe that the charaacters on each TV show were actually IN the TV, and since I knew all of them so well, they knew me and I was convinced that while I wasn't watching TV, they were all just sitting around on a couch miserable because I wasn't watching me, and they they even occasionally talked about me behind my back :P

In the Christmas song Silent Night, the lyrics go "Round yon Virgin mother and child, holy infant so tender and mild..."
Well, I am 15 years old, and I JUST FOUND OUT about a month ago that "round yon Virgin" did not refer to the fact that Mary was round-shaped because she was pregnant, but to the fact that everyone was gathered around her and baby Jesus.
I guess I never really thought about the fact that she had already had him, so she wouldn't be that round anymore.

i remember when i was maybe 6 or 7, i got really sick, and i had a really high fever so i woke up at like 3 or 4 in the morning with my mom and we just watched tv, then i asked "don't those people get tired? they act the whole day, even at 4 in the morning!?" lol

in other words i believed that the people on tv were always live and acting whenever you turned it on...

I used to belive that every time you turned on the T.V little people climbed into it and started talking to you, so when the people on the adverts said stuff like " Does your car sound like this?" then I would answer " I don't know" Well I was only 6!

I beleived that a TV worked by having small people inside the box, and that what they were doing was projected up onto the screen. I thought these small people lived in everybodies TV and there life consisted ov constantly giving us occular pleasure and confined to TVs AND only being about 5mm tall. Bless them working their socks off.

I used to believe that the tv had lots of little people and little cars locked inside it. Funnily my son thinks the same thing now

I use to believe (when he was younger) that there were little people inside the TV , so he he tried to feed them by putting pizza on the TV screen and trying to put it into the VCR.

I use to think that all the shows I watched on TV was inside my TV set. I seriously thought that if I smashed open the TV, I would be able to meet the actors.

i used to believe that all the people on t.v. lived in the plug. when the t.v. was off,they all congragated in the plug,and when we turned the t.v. on, all the little people would run through the inside of the cord,into the t.v. and act out any show we wanted to watch. i would feel sorry for them when my daddy would change the channel so much as they would have to change their clothes so often!

I used to believe that the people we see on Television where small people that were simply encapsulated and made to act in a box and that if we could actually break the box we could free the small people.

I used to believe that people got onto tv by shrinking and climbing through the plug and along the wire into the back.

I use to beliee that if someone got shot or lost a limb in a movie they actually did in real life.

I am 40 now,but while still a kid,I would think there were actual people ,that is,small people in radio sets.Otherwise,what made radios speak! I figured some sort of specially made people who were chosen to sing,read the news in radio sets and when the radio was quiet,it meant they were tired or fell asleep.

I used to believe that I could cut open the television and touch the people there. I used to have such a fascination with hair, that I would tell myself to wait until an actor or an actress with beautiful hair would come in, then I would cut open the television and actually touch their hair.

I used to believe that TV presenters all lived in the TV and when once confronted with Richard Whitely at a charity do aged approximately 5 years old I marched up to him and asked him 'how he had managed to get out of the telly!'
