Alright everybody, you know the Eagles song, "Witchy Woman"? I used to sing it as "bitchy woman," thinking that I was singing it right. And you know their song "Get Over it"? I used to think he said "...find your little child and kick it in the grass" instead of "...find your little child and kick it's little ass."

i used 2 believe the "air guitar" was a real instrument
I can't remember what the song is...I can't even remember what it even sounds like, but I do remember that there is a boy at the end of the song that goes 'Clap your hands'. When my sister and I heard it on the car radio, we thought he was saying 'bucket head'. We were both wondering what that has to do with anything.

In the song 'you sexy thing' by Hot Chocolate, I used to think that the opening line 'I believe in miracles' was actually 'I believe in Michael' and I often wondered why Errol Brown & Co were singing about a bloke called Michael who was apparently a very 'sexy thing' hehe

In the song by the Beatles with the lyrics "Something in the way, she moves", I used to think that the something was an object, that "she" moved out of the way!

When I was about 5, I thought the song "Barbara Ann," by the Beach Boys, was about Bob Rae, the premier of Ontario at the time.

That the Rolling Stone's sang "bye, bye Horses; Couldn't drag me away"
To me it seemed a bit woosy that such a rock group seemed to be so sentimental about loosing their horses.
It wasnt until later when i was singing it that my father kindly corrected me.
turns out it was "Wild Horses".
Mine is so much better.
I used to believe that Pat Benatar's song "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" was called "Heavyweight Confession!" I thought it was about someone who REALLY had a lot to confess! If you listen to it when she sings the chorus she does blend the words together. I still like my version better, although I won't sing along to this song when it comes on the radio!

was at my friend's house one night getting ready for cheerleading or something, and she had a Brand New cd in... i had never heard them..and this song comes on that starts out as..." i am heaven sent.....don't you dare forget..." but i heard "i am havin sex....don't you dare forget..." when my friend got into the room i was like.."sarah! what the crap is this?" she giggled.
I believed that the Blue song "All rise" went "1 for the money and the free rides, 2 for the lager cheques - denied!" (it's actually "2 for the lie that you denied")
I thought it was about someone trying to buy beer with a cheque, but it was rejected.
I remember that I believed that, in the Annie song "Hard-Knock Life" from the musical, it was "hard (not) life" which means that they enjoyed the whole orphan labour thing.
I wonder if I ever sang it in public?

When I used to ride in the car, i turned the radio up really loud and mouthed out the words, thinking that the surrounding cars would think i was an awesome singer!

When I was in middleschool, U2 had a hit with "The Sweetest Thing." I used to hear this song on some radio station that played pop and r&b in equal doses, and for some reason I got the impression that U2 and Boyz II Men were really similar. Thus, I just assumed all the members of U2 were black.

In Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean' the bit that goes 'Billie Jean, is not my lover etc etc, I used to believe he was actually singing 'Billie Jean is not my mother, she's just a girl who says I'm the one, ooh ooh, the girl with the big fat bum'

In the 70's there was a song out by a band named 'Clout' called 'Substitute' and for years I thought it was a rude song, because I swear I thought it was called 'I'll be a prostitute'

For years I used to sing Madonna's song 'Erotica' as " Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body" and I really thought these were the actual lyrics, then when I actually saw Bill Oddie on the telly I thought 'crikey, why does Madonna fancy him?

In a song by Morcheeba, called 'Get Along' I used to think it was a song about DIY, because I mistook the words 'Get along, get aquainted' as 'get along, get it painted, get along buy a paintbrush' yeah honestly.

My sister in law once said to me that she thought that the Barry Manilow song 'Copacabana' was about a dog, because she misheard the lyrics 'and when she'd finished he called her rover' which are actually 'And when she finished, he called her over' well it does sound the same if you say it fast I suppose.

When I was about 11 or 12 I thought that Pink Floyd was pop singer Pink's full name. I also thought that Yoyo Ma and Yoko Ono were the same person.
