Someone on this site said,
"I used to believe that the song my bonnie lies over the ocean was my body lies over the ocean."
I thought so too, until I read this just now. ^^;; I'm 12.

Another misheard lyric: I was sure the Beach Boys were singing "Help Me Rhonda, yeah...get her outta my car", and I imagined that there was a girl who was sick or drunk in his car.
"Get her outta my heart" is correct, but less fun.

Another misheard lyric: The Beatles "Twist and Shout" - I thought they were singing "Winston Chow", and that it had something to do with former prime minister Winston Churchill.
And I thought that in England they had "Eight Days A Week".

Remember that song "Shake, Rattle & Roll"? When I was a child, I heard the lyrics as "Shake Marilyn Monroe, I said shake Marilyn Monroe!"
Could just picture it, too...shaking her by the shoulders, and her kind of giggling...

In Nirvana's song "Dumb" I used to think the lyric "I think I'm dumb" was "Agatha don't." And for years I wondered, what was Agatha doing that was making Kurt Cobain so miserable?

When I was little, I had this superstition that if I said the word "die", I would die. So whenever I heard a song on the radio with 'The Word' in it, I would substitute a word that sounded the same (like cry or try)....my parents thought I was very odd...

Ever notice those clear, plastic 'walls' that are placed around drum sets?
Until the age of 12 I thought these were to protect the public from the drummer, should one of his drumsticks go flying.
i use to believe that Elvis and M. jackson were in my shower. i would be scared to use our bathroom because i thought they would jump out at me and kill me by there voices.

Until the age of 12, Richard Branson was the lead singer of The Bee Gees. No one told me this, I must have just seen the whole blonde hair and moustache/goatee affair and presumed. I was gutted when I found out, mostly because I found out by confidently telling all my friends and then being mocked for a few years.
I thought that the REM song that has the lyrics in "calling trying to wake her" actually said "calling cheryl Baker" I was totally convinced that REM had made a song about the ex Bucks Fizz singer
