Dido's White Flag song says " there will be no white flag above my door" one day it was on the radio at work and this girl comes back into my inspection room and looks at me real puzzled and says " did she says, there will be no one left but my dog?" I used to believe that the offspring song have lyrics which went
'Donkey Kong, Everyday', but didnt realise the real lyrics were
'Dog eat dog, Everyday'
Imagine my surprise when i was beaten up by a major offspring fan for taking the p*ss
I'm almost 17 and have been a chili peppers fan since i was a kid. but you can't imagine how cool i felt when my older sis and i were jammin' to Under Th Bridge and she corrected me when i said "under the bridge up top." It's actually "under the bridge downtown." Also for the longest time i thought that Michael Jackson said "she was sitting at the table, you could see she was a negro." instead of "he could see she was unable."

The song "I got my mind set on you" by George Harrison...i thought he would say, "i got my mind sled for you" thinking that is song was about a sled for years and years and then one day in my late teens i asked my mom what my favourite song was? she couldn't remember but i knew that it was about a sled so i kept telling her that it was about a sled and that she has to remember because i used to sing and dance to it when i was much younger

When I was little I honestly believed that the 80s pop band Spandau Ballet were actually called Spandex Ballet, I told some teachers at school and they laughed loads but I was unaware about what I said
I have two, one mine one my friends. I always have and always will believe that Celine Deon's "The heart does go on" goes "The hot dogs go on" and my friend things the chorus to Rob Zombie's Devil Man goes "Deaf old man, deaf old man calling, deaf old man runnin' through my head"!

when i was little and heard the song come on the radio, "Secret Agent Man," i used to believe that they were really saying "secret asian man," and that there was some little asian man running around in a trenchcoat and sunglasses

I used to think that the KD Lang song 'Constant Craving' was actually "Can't stand gravy"!It used to make me feel ill every time I heard it!

Growing up, my mother was a big Alice Cooper fan. I (sort of) listened to some of the songs, but i never knew what Alice looked like. I used to imagine him looking like Alice from "Alice in Wonderland"...Well, it brings about pretty funny mental images.

At first, I was convinced that Tina Turner was singing about paint...
"What's love but a second hand emulsion?"
I used to think the national anthem went "our land is bound with nature strips" instead of natures' gifts. I believed this until i was 14 and our school assembly program contained the real words.

One of my friend's little brothers who was at least 5, thought the song "im blue" by Eiffel 65 went "im blue, im in need of a dime"
I don't know the name of the song, but it was by Miya, describing the type of man she wanted. I'm still not sure but I think she says "I'm looking for a brother who likes to have fun, a 'fly chilled-out guy' who knows how to please a woman" I am however quite sure she does not want a 'flatulent guy' as I had first thought, I was deply concerned at the time - she does sing that line quite fast though.
Another error I made was thinking that Miss-Teeq were singing "pants down, grab a man" instead of "glance down" and I was most unhappy about the message the song was sending out, bless me!
Finally, I thought, in the song "Bad", that Michael Jackson was singing about my friend Sian Moore (I now think it might be "you know it" but my judgement is forever clouded by my previous belief) I was insanely jealous that he loved her and not me - it was when he still looked like a man.

Because my mom was a big fan i used to listen to The beatles all the time.
In Lucy in the sky with diamonds I thought they sang "The girl with colitus goes by" when it's actually "The girl with kaelidoscope eyes".
Also Michelle the french part sounds so much like "Sunday Monkey won't play piano song, play piano song" when it's actually some french babble.
And then there's the classic "She's got a chicken to ride" (ticket to ride!)
Sorry Beatle people!

Lene Marlin - Sitting Down Here
"I'm sitting down here
But hey you can see me
Kind of invincible
You won't sense my stay"
and also, in the second verse
"I'm not tryna avoid you
I just don't wanna hear your voice
When you called me up in Boston
I don't really have a choice"
I used to sing, from KISS "I want to rock and roll all night- AND PART OF EVERYDAY!!" It was a 1.5 day party, i thought.
Also I thought the song, "Stop dragging my heart around" Was, "stop driving my car around"

When I first heard the term "symphony orchestra", I thought it was "sympathy orchestra". So I envisioned that it was a kind of orchestra that played only at funerals or other events to console friends and relatives of someone deceased.

When I was about 4, I used to make an impression of Michael Jackson's songs, and everyone thought that was cute. One day dad said something like "you really like HIM, don't you?". I was horrified, as I thought Michael Jackson was a woman (because of the hair, i guess)... that was the last time i did an impression of anyone.

My mom thought that Chumbawumba's Tub Thumping went "I got no towels, but I get up again" ("I get knocked down, but I get up again"). She had no idea what it meant and told me and my siblings it was a stupid song because it didn't make sense.
