I used to believe if you listened to to music upside down the music would be backwards

I have always been a big fan of Fleetwood Mac, and I used to think (still do actually) that I was the long lost daughter of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, and they had to put me up for adoption since they were on tour at the time, and that they are out looking for me now.

I was litsening to some song By macy Gray on the radio in the car with my very musical 3 year old brother, and the lyrics go : ' My world bobbles when your not here', and it was completely hilarious when he attempted to sing along as he started to sing ' i wore goggles up your side rear'!

I used to think the conductor of the orchestra actually told the band what notes to play by waving the stick in a certain direction. I always wanted to stand up before an orchestra and wave the stick around to see what kind of music I could make!

When I was little I used to hear everyone sing the song, "David and Sally sitting in a tree K I S S I N G" Childishly I thought it was "David and Sally sitting in a tree
K I S S P M T"

My little brother for the londest time thought "How Bizare, How bizare." went "How's the bar, How's the car."

When Björk's Debut album came out I saw her on MTV and believed the sparkly dots she wore below her eyes were diamond studs. I really spent some long hours pondering how one went about piercing their lower eyelids, as well as why anyone would want to in the first place!

I used to believe…

When I listened to the radio I thought the bands were at the station playing live. If I changed the station and heard the same band, I couldn't understand how they got to the other station so fast.

Picture the scene.
Jimi Hendrix, the Woodstock crowd roaring in approval as he screams "Excuse me while I kiss THIS GUY!"
Never going to happen, was it?

I used to believe…

A Macy Gray song went like this:

I try to say goodbye and i choke
try to walk away and i stumble
when i try to hide it, its clear, my world crumbles when you are not there

I used to believe it went like this:

I try to say goober and achoooo
try to walk away and i stamp balls
when i tried to hide it, its clear, i blow bubbles when you are not there

My sister and I crack up everytime we think about it.

I remember when I was about 4 there would be this song on Barney. It was on a bunch of other shows, but I remember seeing this one first.

"Down by the bay where the watermelons grow, back to my home i dare not go. for if i do my mother will say. "Would you ever see a bear combing his hair down by the bay"

i remember being scared to DEATH of watermelons because of that. i saw the barney music video and they just flashed watermelons like ONCE, but i was SCARED. i have no idea why i was afraid of the watermelons, but i remember it alright!

I still think to this day that Michael and Janet Jackson are the same person. Think about it, they've never been seen together, and they both have the same nose! I also thought that Prince and Michael Jackson were the same.

i alwas used to sing

i fucked you when the lights went out

but it's actually

where were you when the lights went out

:s

the song is from "freaks"

I thought for...over ten years that the words to the popular swing song "Jump, Jive, and Wail" were, "Drunk driving/ can you worry bout it/ drunk driving/ can you worry away?"

I used to believe…

My 9-year-old sister never gets the words to songs right. One day I was listening to, "Makes No Difference" by Sum 41. I heard her singing, "The reasons you gave me, we're all wearing fins!" when the real words are, "The reasons you gave me are all wearing thin." I laughed so much and I still tease her about it!

I used to believe…

Mikael Jackson was a white female

My mother was talking about this annoying song that was always played at the fitness centre. I asked her how it went and she said... "I don't know...I just remember this one part 'leeeett your haiiirr down...'"
I recognized the tune about a minute later- Where's your Head at by Basement Jaxx! A little different from what she thought!

I used to think that B2K stood for Burger King, because I go tit confused with their commercial, BK4U.

I used to believe…

In the Chorus of the song The Motivation Proclemation by Good Charlotte, there is the line
"Captivate me, I want good thoughts inside of my head"
I always sang it as
"Captivate me, I want catharsis out of my head"

I used to believe…

"When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore." Yeah, well I used to get really mad because I thought the lyrics were, "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie that's the morning." I couldn't understand how they could say the moon being out made it the morning.
