My cousin and I went to a aerobics class, and they played 'raise a little hell'. right then she told me that all her life she (until now) she thought that it was 'raise a little elf'. I couldn't finish the class I was laughing so hard.

i was about 5 years old when i believed that Micheal Jackson And Madonna were married because i kept hearing people say that HE was the king of pop and SHE was the queen of pop. I assumed that meant that they were married but wondered why i never really saw them togther or heard them talking about one another.

One time when I was VERY young some neighbors were playing the popular at-te-time "Pop Music" by M and I asked my mother what that soundwas, coming from next door..she said it was the neighbors playing pop music. Well from then on anytime I heard people talking about pop music(in general), I would yell that it COULD NOT be pop music, since only 'Pop Music' was pop music..took me a year or so and by then, M had become a one-hit-wonder!

On the Elvis Presley song 'Good Luck Charm' there is a strong harmony backing vocal. I used to think that he was singing both parts simultaneously. This largely explained to me why Elvis was so highly regarded as an artist.

In Girl Guides (Brownies mainly), we also sang this song...and I thought we were singing "I'm being eaten by a broken sticker" and I never understood why...A few years later I mentioned it to my mother who had been a leader and she said it was really "I'm being eaten by a BOA CONSTRICTOR"...Makes so much more sense now.......

"On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:
3 french hens,
2 turtle dogs,
and a partridge in a pear tree!"

The moment that the rest of my family figured out I had the words wrong was captured with my Fisher-Price tape recorder. I still have the cassette.

When I was maybe 4 or 5, the song 'Taking care of business' came on the radio.. and I sang 'Taking care of biscuits'! I thought it was that until I was like 7 or 8. My parents still make fun of me everytime it comes on the radio.

My mother seriously thought Dido's song 'White Flag' went '...I will poke my eyes out and surrender..' rather than '...i will put my hands up and surrender...' And she's old. What a dumbass!

my mom and dad used to tell me if i listened to any music promoting violence or harsh language, that whatever they're talking about in the song i'm listening to, that same thing would happen to me!

I used to think that when I went out, like to the grocery store or something, there just might happen to be an agent or something looking for talented kids. So everywhere I went, I would dance to the radio or sing quietly hoping that someone would see me and make me famous. I know now that it probably wouldn't happen, but sometimes I still do it just in case!
