me and my sister both liked the live aid song when it came out. We used to sing along, singing "Heave ho, woah. Do they know it's christmas time..."

Back in the fifth grade we used to drop money into the heater in the girls bathroom for 'The Michael Jackson Fund'. We believed that Michael Jackson came to the school at night to collect his money and whoever put in the most would be considered a super cool chick. I remember one girl dropped a five dollar bill in and the next day it was gone. That was proof enough! No wonder the janitors were always so happy and had jingly pockets...

How much plastic surgery did we pay for?

When I learned that Rick Allen, the drummer from Def Leppard, had only one arm I can remember thinking, "Well, at least he plays drums and not something like the guitar where you need two hands!" As a small kid growing up, I only really heard the snare drum and cymbals in music and I was convinced that you only needed one arm to play drums properly!

I used to believe that John Lennon's song went "Vincent Carmen's gonna get you..." instead of "Instant Karma"...I was always nervous around people called Vincent...

My sister came home one day from elementary school singing "i'm bringing home a baby bumble bee, won't my mommey Pizza potty me"

At the end of the Beatles song Love Is All You Need, where they repeat the line, my brother used to sing along "Love Salami". I thought the song Paperback Writer sang "paid for my Chrysler"

I used to think Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall" went: "the dogs are gathered in the classroom"; original: "the dark sarcasm in the classroom"

In Jessica's post earlier, she said she misheard a Depeche Mode lyric as "Jesus took a pee in the grass," but that it was actually "someone to be oppressed." The actual line is "someone to hear your prayers"--my friends and i used to argue about those lyrics ad nauseam!

I used to believe…

elton john released a song called 'cold cold heart' back in the 90's. I honestly thought he was singing 'co co heart' and singing about people who had chocolate hearts.

When my son was three he used to love The Brady Bunch. When it came on he used to sing along with the theme song:

Here's a story/Of an UGLY lady/Who was bringing up three very UGLY girls...

When I was five, thought paul McCartney was singing "stand on the rug" instead of "Band and the Run". I also though the girl "walked and talked like an ape now" (instead of ACE) on the Beach Boys song "Fun Fun Fun".

When I was young, I thought that the line "Under the pale moon light" from the song "Somewhere out there" (The rescuers) was "Under the pebble light"... Still sing it to this day!

When we were little, my two sisters and I used to think that Kylie's "I should be so lucky", where it says "i should be so lucky, lucky lucky lucky", said..."asto pistolaki(leave the hairdryer) Laki Laki Laki(greek male name)"......

My nephew liked the song "Owner of a Lonely Heart". Only in his mind, it was Obi la adobe Heart-whatever that means
:-) He got mad if we tried to tell him the real words.

I used to believe that Janet Jackson had a couple of ribs removed so that she would look fit. It sounded insane, but now I know it is. I guess some people were playa hating on her six pack.
