i, too, thought my grandma made up the bushel and a peck song. :)
My sister used to think that a line from the song "Say Say Say" by Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, was "Say, say say what you want, but don't play games with my erection(affection)"

My cousin thought that "Your a pal and a confidant" from the Golden Girls them song was, "Your a pal and a clump of dump"
Around Christmas time my parents used to play this kids' song that went "I'm gettin' nuttin' for christmas, Mommy and daddy are mad" Only I always thought they were saying "Mommy and daddy are men." This didn't even strike me as funny, growing up, as I was in the Castro district of San Francisco.
Country music by a 3 year old...The song "Prop Me Up Beside The Juke Box" For my 3 year old daughter it went something like this: "Pwop me up beside my juice box if I cry" We still sing it like that!
My daughter was 3 when Billy Ray Cirus had the number one hit "Achy Breaky Heart". She had a very hard time with her "r's", every "r" souded like a "w". Wehre we live they have a penny drive sponsored by a local country music station. We were at one of the penny drive locations and the DJ asked her to sing her favorite song...she did it like this"don't tell my hawt, my cwanky, cwanky hawt. You just need a rubberband..."

I thought my aunt was Tina Turner actually, but she is keeping this as a secret...
I used to think that the posters on my wall were watching me at night. I used to hide under the covers and peep out to see if any of them had moved. I wish the Kylie one did
In the song "Never Let Me Down Again" by Depeche Mode, Dave Gahan sings "I'm taking a ride with my best friend"... I thaught it was "I'm taking your wife, be my best friend"...
;-o)
When I was very young my brother and I used to believe the song by Linda Ronstadt "It's so easy to fall in love" went: "It's so wee-wee to fall in love". We called it the "wee-wee" song and loved singing along with it as loudly as possible whenever it was on the radio. I think Mum and Dad must've thought it was pretty funny because they never corrected us.
The song Torn by Natalie Imbruglia goes "So I guess the fortune teller's right/Should have seen just what was there/ And not some holy light" My friend thinking it said "So I guess the fortune teller's right/Should have seen just what was there/ And not some horny light"
In the song "Naked" by the Spice Girls the lyrics read "Strip you down don't need to care, lights are low exposed and bare" but my friends thought for the longest time that it was "strip you down no need to care, just pull down your underwear"
When I heard Zombie by The Cranberries for the first time I thought it was a russian band or something like that. I didn't know English really well back then (I'm Dutch and I was about 13 when I heard it for the first time), and to me she was singing something like eeeeeejawaaaaa. I thought 'cool, I didn't know they made such great music in Russia'. I really believed this for some months.

I thought God drove a car like ours - a Honda. The song DID say "fill the heavens with sweet Accords..."
when I was young the Eagles song "Lyin' Eyes" was very popular. After hearing it so many times on the radio I had to ask my mom,"What kind of eyes to lions have"?
I used to believe…
That song with the chorus, "I got my mind set on you...". Well, when I was a kid it was used as a jingle for a potato chip commercial (Hostess?) and I thought it was "I got the munchies, oh yeah!" Made total sense to me as I sang along at the top of my lungs.
when Rockwell's song came out "I always feel like somebody's watching me" (or something like that) i believe that Rockwell and Michael Jackson(because that's what he sounded like) were both stalking me and watching me everywhere i went...i hurried home from school looking over my shoulder for about a month after that song became popular.
When I was growing up, my best friend was notorious for mixing up song lyrics. Her "alternate renditions" still crack me up! She believed that Pat Benatar's song "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" was Hit Me With Your Pants Down"! Pretty racey for a 9 year old... She also thought Barry Manilow's song, "Looks Like We Made It", was "Looks Like Tomatoes".
When I was about 7 and my sister was 4, she used to drive me up the wall by singing: "when you're in love with a beautiful womble" instead of "... ... beautiful woman". I can see how she made the error. Whenever I hear the song now, I always insert "womble" - it makes me chuckle...
I beleved that the lyrics to mr. mister song Kyrie was "Carry a laser down the road that i must travel.
