In that 80's song "Don't You Want Me", it goes in the chorus, "Don't...don't you want me? I know I don't believe you when you say that you won't see me". But I thought they were saying "When you say that you DON'T see me" so I thought it was about this girl who tried to tell her boyfriend she was blind, but he didn't believe him.
I wondered how she could be a waitress at a cocktail bar then.

I used to believe that Watergate was in Alabama because Lynyrd Skynrd mentioned it in their son "Home Sweet Home Alabama."

I used to believe…

Kid Rock has absolutely nothing to do with a group of young children singing rock and roll classics like those commercials on tv

And Marilyn Manson is a guy.
But come on-could you blame me-the first picture I saw of him had him covered in blue and magenta paint, wearing lingerie and a cowboy hat-It had to be a woman!

My take on The Who's 'Who Are You?'

Real:I remember throwin' punches around
And preachin' from my chair

My version:I remember throwin' munchies around
And reachin' for my chair

I imagined the singer throwing cheese puffs at the other band members, and crawling around trying to reach his precious recliner before anyone else could sit there.

I just read the belief about someone thinking that the song I'm 'Blue' went 'I'm blue I'm in need of a guy'. I used to think that it was 'I'm blue I believe I will die'.

My friend and I loved going to hockey games, They played Cotton Eye Joe a lot, and we loved that song so much. One time at a party we went up to sing it on kareoke and we were really shocked that it was "If it hadn't been for Cotton Eye Joe" and not "Vaydodden veence a Cotton Eye Joe".

I used to believe…

In Nelly's song "Hot in Herre" he says "I'm looking for the right time to shoot my seed", ie masturbation. Well, when the song came out I was 10 and didn't know what that was, and I heard "I'm looking for the right time to shoot my steed". As I loved horses, I thought it was terrible that Nelly would want to shoot one.

I used to believe…

Due to the foolishness of a couple friends of mine, and my gullibility, I thought that the song "Dirty Deeds" by AC/DC actually went "Dirty deeds, done with sheep" instead of "done dirt cheap".

I used to believe…

When I was younger I overheard my two brothers arguing over the lyrics of a song. One was sure it was "Werewolves of Thunder" and the other was certain it was "Where was London". I had to correct them both, once I stopped laughing. The song, of course, Werewolves of London.

Well, they were both HALF right.

I thought that in the song "Jumpin' Jumpin'" by Destiny's Child, the lyrics were "The club is for the ballers and their cock is full grown" when it really was "they pocket's full grown" It sounded so much like it, just listen to the song!

I used to believe…

Remember the song "I Saw the Sign" by Ace of Base?
I remember when it was really popular (I was in 2nd grade at the time.) I used to think that the title was "I SMELL the Sign". I even have a clip on VHS of me singing it that way!
I am still made fun of about this....
I also thought the name of the band was Ace-a Base and it was the main singer's name. Ha!

I thought the lyrics to Seal's "Kiss from a Rose" was "to me you're like a roman dictionary and I..." when I think now it's actually, "to me you're like a grown addiction that I can't deny."

I used to believe…

My father sometimes likes to ask my brother what the name of a certain song is.

Two of the funniest answers that he's SERIOUSLY given have been "Gecko" for the Rolling Stones "Get No(satisfaction)" and "Slow Moving Waters" for Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Waters"

I used to believe…

You know that dance song sung my the One Hit Wonders Eiffel 65 called "I'm blue"? Well at the Chourus they say "I'm blue-da bu de da bu die" For many Years I thought they were saying "I'm in need of a guy."

Sadly I didn't learn the truth till I was 12.

I used to think that, since 'The Christmas Song' was the 'official' Christmas song, then I figured that 'The Hanaka[sp?] Song' by Adam Sandler was the official Hanaka[sp?] song.

You know the The Who song "Magic Bus?" after every line of the verses, the song goes, "Too much, Magic Bus!" Well, I used to think they were saying "Tubas! Magic Bus!"

It's already kind of a weird song. It never bothered me.

I used to think the lyrics to "Too Legit To Quit" were "Do the flip, do the tootsie flip"

I used tobelieve the words to the Kenny Rogers song "Lucille" was..."500 hundred children and a crop in the field." It was "5 hungry children."... Was Probably a "FINE TIME TO LEAVE...if you had 500 kids!!
