I used to believe that The Beatles were all the same person, because I thought they all looked the same. I thought that whenever they were on TV, they just had different shots of the same guy waving or something, and when they had shots of them all together, they just edited the same guy in there four times.

Ok - please understand that i was young and this is in no way supposed to be hurtful. When i was younger and Anastasia's song "paid my dues" came out - i thought that it was called paid my Jews". I even had a huge arguement woth my dad about it.
I used to always think as a kid that the song "Blue Bayou" was really "Blue By You" and when that song came on the radio I would always try to find something blue near me.

A friend of mine misheard the Band Aid song "Do they know it's Christmas?" Real lyrics......."The greatest gift they'll get this year is LIFE". She heard it has, "the greatest gift they'll get this year is RICE!!"

When I was growing up my Dad was a huge fan of The Beach Boys, and their song Fun Fun Fun, I thought the chorus was "she'll have fun fun fun when the Daddy took the TEABAG away" it was only until a few years ago I found out that it was actually teabird, he took away. It took 20 years or so for me to realise that! Embarassing lol!

when i was younger, i was convinced that the pop band Steps were following me around and spying on me - even when i was in the toilet (if your american reading this then you just have to know that they were a very cheesy '90s pop band).i never thought about the logistics of this and i wasn't particularly bothered by this as i absolutely loved them at the time.

Cute Is What We Aim For song Curse Of Curves.
"we all have defects from vitamin D "
and when they sing it later in the song
"we all have defects from vitamin E "
The real words are " We all have teeth that can bite underneath " Listen to it. It sounds exactly like my version lol.
I used to believe that when people sang song they always looked different like when I heard Weird Al's Poodle hat song Genius in France I thought he was black had long black dread locks and wore a green shirt man was I so wrong. and yes I am a Weird Al addict
I'm 21, and my whole life, I always thought George Michael was singing "Wake me up before you go go". Last week my best friend enlightened me to the fact that he's saying "go, girl". Now, every time I leave, or hang up the phone, she says in a retarded voice, "Wait! Don't go go!" lmao.

Good Charlotte's song "Young and Hopeless"... I got made fun of MAJORLY for this one. I'm a die hard fan, and know every word of every song... but for some reason, for years now, I've always thought he was singing "Hot days make me hot, nights shade me". Makes sense, right? lol, the actual lyric is "Hard days made me, Hard nights shaped me", and when my friend told me THIS, I was even more confused... why would Joel sing about being "hard"? =( lmao. I didn't understand where the comma was supposed to go, so I thought it was "Hard days made me hard". Hmm.
I totally love The All-American Rejects, which is why I was a little heartbroken when I heard their song "Straightjacket feeling" for the first time, because instead of hearing their line of "Beg me time and time again" I heard "Bang me time and time again". I defy anyone to listen to that song and not hear "Bang". lol

When I was little, I used to think that Aerosmith song "Dude Looks Like a Lady" was actually saying "Do the Lucky Lady"... only, I was pretty young, so instead of even thinking anything sexual, I just pictured a dance called the Lucky Lady, and whenever people heard this song they were supposed to bust out with the "Lucky Lady"... lmao

In the 80's or late 90's their was a song sung by a pop/techno group that had a phrase that said "we're having big fun" my husband use to think it said "we're having meatballs"

When Mariah Carey's "Be Mine Again" came out, I was quite the confused one...
The real lyrics go...
"It's irrelavent to dewel on the past... yeah, yeah babay... I'm accountable for what went bad... and I mean that..."
I heard something quite different that went like this...
..."It's irrelavent to dewel on the past... yeah, yeah babay... I'm a cannible for what went bad... (She said I'm accountable very fast.)
My cousin (7) heard what I heard and asked me if she was a cannible, and for some reason, she thinks the songtress is scary... don't know where THAT came from... after hearing that misheard bit, she must've had nightmares of her chaising her around with a chainsaw.
