There is a church song called "Companions on a Journey." It goes: "We are companions on a journey, eating pread and sharing life."

When I yas little I thought (and sang) "We are camels on a journey eating bread and cherry pie."

In "All Star," the line goes: "All that glitters is gold, only shootin' stars break the mold." (or something like that)

My friend thought: "All the rivers are gold, only shootin' stars wait for morn."

The first line of "Sweet Home Alabama" is "These wheels keep on turnin." For the longest time I thought it was "Sweet, sweet home school Bob Simon."

I used to believe that in the some "You owe me an IOU" by Hot Hot Heat that the lyric
"You owe me an IOU"
was actually
"Don't go to pacoville"
One day I heard a guy say "Lets go to pacoville!" to his dog.
you can imagine my reaction.

I used to think the song Cotton Eye Joe Said "where did you come from where did you go where did you go"
NOT where did you come from cotton eye Joe...

I never got where he keeps going and comming. I remember my dads friend had a party with a DJ and my dad tried to explain the whole DJ concept and sent me on my merry way to ask the poor DJ the song I wanted " Where'd you come from" which logically was the name of the song that they constantly say "where'd you come from where'd you go where'd you come from where'd you go" the best was when the guy asked me to sing it cuz he never heard of it.....yea that was bad I was like 13 lol

That in 'We Didn't Start the Fire', the line 'no we didn't light it' was 'well, we did ignite it'.

I still think that it's a better line.

I used to believe some lyrics in Culture Club's, "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me," were:

Bit by lust without a reason

when it's really

This boy loves without a reason.

I used to think the lyrics to Dancing Queen by Abba were "you can dance, you can die, having the time of your life." I used to remember thinking that although dancing was fun I wouldn't want to die from doing it too much

Mama Mia Toes
There's a manless story (or mandatory- I couldn't tell!)
Underneath your clothes
There's an endless story

I believed that Justin's line of the song 'Four Minutes' by Madonna was "Keep it up, keep it up, Don't be a Britney, Madonna" referencing Britney's meltdown and how Madonna has to keep on going with her career to avoid a similar fate! I'm still not sure what the real lyrics are.

I still think in the Guns N' Roses song "Welcome to the Jungle" it goes Ya learn ta live like a Dragonball, instead of animal, it still sounds like that to me...

In the song Paradise City, I thought it was Paramount city, because I went to a paramount theme park.

I used to think that a Queen song was a love song to someone named Sammy. You know, "Sammy, Sammy, I can't face this life alone. Sammy, Sammy, Sammy, I'm naked and I'm far from home." My dad finally clued me in that the word was "Save Me".

Save Me, Sammy!

For ages, I thought the line in 'Free Nelson Mandela' that goes:

'His body abused, but his mind is free'

Was actually...

'His body abused by these mindless freaks.'
