Every park that I went to as a kid had a sign that stated 'This Park Closes At Dark'. To me, that ment that the trees went home. Why else would the park close? The trees had to get home to thier families. I spent many hours begging to stay late at the park to find out where the trees lived.

My mom believed, when she was little, that we lived on the inside of the world. This belief stemmed from the fact that the sky is blue, and pictures of the Earth are mostly blue. So basically, she believed we were staring up at the Earth's shell.
When i was little, i would listen to the weather news with my dad. When they would say that there was a certain percent chance of rain, lets say 20%, i always thought that it was going to rain 20% of the rain that was in the whole sky.
I used to believe that all land floated on water. After all, when you drill down into the ground, you get water (oil never crossed my mind), hence that belief.
When I was about 7 years old I had asked my mother why the water in water coolers was cold. She told me it was spring water, and spring water is cold naturally. As I grew up I found out it is because of a cooling compressor in the water cooler. But my Mom stills thinks she is right.
I used to believe in "burr magnets". I had a winter coat that was one. Every time I played in the ravine, I would come home with burrs on my coat, even though I didn't go anywhere near a burdock bush!
When I was little, my friend always used to cry on cold frosty mornings. She believed that Jack Frost would break into her house at night, using the key that Santa had given him. The frost the next morning was to let you know he'd been there. Goodness knows what he did when he got into the house, or how Santa got the key!
When we would be driving at night, I used to believe that the moon was following me. Every so often it would disappear behind a tree and I thought I'd tricked it!

I always thought that God was having a chariot race and when ever he clipped a rock it would spark and make lightning and the clouds would clap for him winning the race and that would be thunder but if they clapped too hard they would make holes in themselves which rain would pour out.
