When I was little, we lived a 1/4 mile out of town and the highway cut through blasted rock. Seeing all the differents sizes of rocks, I thought the little rocks would someday grow up to be mountains. Just like kids grew up to be adults. Know better now!

I always thought that pineapples grew on trees, untill i saw a pineapple field in a movie when i was 15. I jus couldn't bleave they grew in the ground.

When I was small my cousin told me that the earth had a bubble over it to keep all the trees, sand, and water from falling off. She also believed that space ships had pointed tips to puncture the bubble so they could fly into outer space. Can you imagine how horrified I was when I learned there was a hole in the atmosphere?

i used to be soo scared of natural disasters!! i used to lie awake at night just waiting for a hurricane or a tidal wave to come and get me.

when you're driving along it looks like the moon is following you.so when i was small i used to think that the moon was trying to get me.i used to cry everytime we went driving at night ,coz i thought it would come and eat me

When I was about 3 i was over at my neighbor's a lot because they were friends with my mom...one day i was over there and my friend Chrissy who was about 10 years older than me said, "We have to get you home...there might be a tornado coming.." I didnt know what a tornado was so in my mind i thought of a word that sounded like tornado and i came up with Potato, so for a long time when it was windy outside I would stand there waiting to see a Big Potato on a Bicycle coming around the corner and chasing us until we got inside...haha

I used to believe that if u stuck ur middle finger up, god would make a list of ppl to shoot lightning bolts at when a thunderstorn comes. So when there was a thunderstorm I would go to my mom and make her hide me so god wouldnt find me so i would get hit by the lightning.

When I was a kid, I asked my mom can I get to the Moon. She said no, that's very, very far away. Then I asked : "What if I put one chair on another?" Standing on 1 chair was a pretty good height for me. And standing on 2 of them.. :)

when i was younger i read a science book that told me that the earth had layers.this stirred in me the belief that everything had layers and if i cut myself magma would start pouring out!

On my fifteenth birthday it rained from the time we woke up and it didn't stop until the next morning. I was upset and my mother to confort me she said that the angels were crying cause they where happy I turned 15. To this day I still belive that it's the angles or one of my relatives that has passed; that crys for all of us when it rains.

i thought the sky was white and the clouds were blue. Nobody actually tells you otherwise,do they?

I used to believe that, we live inside earth and it always made me wonder, how could we see the whole sky then?!

Like a few others here, I reasoned that thunder must be the clouds, which move so fast during a storm, running into each other. And the lightning? Sparks from the collisions, of course.

I also used to think that trees caused wind by moving their branches. I figured they all must have to agree to do it at the same time to make a strong wind.

when i was little and it use to storm my brother use to tell me it was the thunder monster. and now im still a bit frightened of thunder and lightning...but its funny my brother is too! hehe
