My mother told us that God was rolling great barrels of water toward the devil! It wasn;t hard to imagine this happening during the thunderstorms in northern Australia. I imagined this happened just on top of the thick grey clouds and wondered why it took so long for God to finally aim right and hit the devil

When I was 4 or 5, I loved gems. I always wanted to see them, and then I would look at them. Well, you know how gems are mined out of caves and stuff, and then they are all cut into brilliants and stuff? I used to believe that gems were found, ALREADY cut.
When i was very young, I use to be afraid of Thunder and Lightning. so to make me calm down, my mom use to tell me that it was God bowling and everytime there was a lightning bult, it would mean He got a strike and when it was raining that meant He was crying because He los! I am 18 years old and I am very disappointed to know that this is not true!

When I was riding in the car a rainbow appeared in the sky out the front windshield. I wanted my father to drive faster so we could go under it before it disappeared. I discovered that rainbows were optical phenomena and not physical objects when playing with the garden hose. The rainbow produced by the spray would always be the same size and if I tried to get closer or change my viewpoint it would vanish.
When I was about 2 or something, I thought that God had this huge pet dog up in heaven. So I ended up thinking that thunder happened whenever the dog was running away from God and the rain was the dog's pee. ^_^;

I used to think that stars were just big holes in a shoe box, a shoe box that we all lived in as pets of a huge giant. Every day when the sun came out that would be him taking the top off of the box and shinning a light in on us all to watch us. At night he closed the lid when he went to bed, but being the nice giant he was left us little air holes as stars so that we could breathe. The moon was our night light, which some nights he forgot to turn on
When I was younger I asked my aunt once how trees grow and she told me that there was water inside trees to help them grow. So I believed for the longest time that if you ever picked bark off of a tree water would come rushing out and flood the world!
My cousin moved from Texas to Illinois when she was about 4. At the time is was winter and she had never seen snow. When her mother told her that she was finally going to see snow she started crying. As it turned out she thought that snow came out of the sky in the form of snowballs and they would hit you in the head if you went outside.
