when i was younger, i used to think that the big companys with the smokestacks were cloud factories.
I used to jump in my mothers lap when it used to rain with thunder & lightning.Because i used to believe that god is searching for me with his gun and firing as he is not getting me,and he is becoming more and more angry.
The reason behind this belief is my mother used to tell me that i am a grown up boy (i was 3 years old then) and i should not ask for my mothers milk.
When my son was young, we went up north to visit relatives. It was dark out, but snowing. I wanted to show my son (then a toddler) the snow so, I turned on the outside light so he could see it falling. Then, when we were finished, I turned the light out. Well, he saw me flip the switch off and assumed that it operated the snow because he said "turn the snow back on mommy!"
when i was younger my granny told me thunder was god moving his furniture around!
My father must have thought it halirious one day to tell me that the small amounts of oil on the road were "dead rainbows". I would always say a prayer in my mind for them when I saw them. I am keeping up the tradition though (not in such a nasty way!) I tell my daughter that the power stations are really cloud making factories.
i could never get my mind around the world being round and used to believe that the clouds in the sky were the whales in the see of the country opposite us on teh globe.
When I was a litlle boy mi mom always told me that when the sky was pink (because of the low sun) it meant that Santa-Claus was baking pancakes. I believed it for years and now I still have a sudden urge for pancakes when I see the sky turning pink!
I met an ex-girlfriend and we went for a walk along the seafront, the sea was really rough. Anyway, I spoke to her a week later and told her that the sea was so rough that even fish were drowning, it was on the news. She believed me, bless her.
i used to believe that when it rained, god was crying
When I was a little girl I used to get very excited at dusk. The reason for this was that the stars started to come out and begin to "twinkle". It was only until I was older that I realised the "twinkling" sound I thought the stars were making was actually the sounds of crickets in our garden.

One day in third grade, it rained, and our teacher told us to look for Roy G. Biv outside during recess. The whole time I was watching for a short man, possibly wearing a rainbow-colored 'fro wig, to peek around a corner and spy on us.
I was a dumb kid.
I used to think that trees made wind by waving back and forth.
when i was sad. i used to believe that when it rained, my gramma n grampa were cruing for me
When I was about 5 I was told that when there was thunder that God was bowling with Saint Peter. So every time it thundered(and it rains a lot it New Jersey), I would happily announce God was bowling again.
When I was four years old my family went to a lake for a vacation. I was not allowed in the lake except for the roped-off kiddie area, but I wanted it deeper, so I spent two weeks getting sandpails of water from the other side of the dock and pouring it into the wading area. I must have been pretty dense because it never did dawn on me that I wasn't getting anywhere.
I used to belief that the sky can be touched by anyone

My dad used to take me to a neighbor friend's house with him. This man had me convinced that every weed you dug out of the ground had a coin entangled in it's roots, that he owned a dollar bill tree, and that if i wished hard he could pull a quarter from my ear.
