I used to believe that wind came from the earth spinning faster. It seemed to make sense at the time.

i used to belive that i`m choud make the wind be small or big if i blew hard the wind blew hard! If i blew small the wind became small

I used to believe that if you stood on some seaweed on the beach, you would fall through the sand and drown in the sea below.

I USED TO BELIEVE THAT THE MOON EXISTED FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF EATING ANY SIBLINGS THAT WOULD FIGHT WITH EACH OTHER.

I used to believe that when thunder and lightning struck it was dead people in heaven going ten pin bowling. When my grandfather died (he was an obsessed bowler) I used to think it was him.

When i was younger i used to dig holes when my family and I went to the beach. My family told me that if i dug a hole deep enough, i would reach China. So i used to dig really deep holes because i wanted to go to China.

Not sure at what this was, but I use to be afraid of thunderstorms. To ease my mind Dad told me God was bowling. The rumbling thunder was the bowling ball going down the lane and the lightning was him getting a strike. If memory servers...God is an outstanding bowler with many 300 games.

I used to think that the waterfalls from the mountains above where I lived were from trolls standing on the edge of the mountains peeing. There were tiny ones from the children trolls, but also real giants were peeing high above me.

Everytime it would either thunder or lightning outside(when it rained) I could be electrocuted merely by stepping foot into a shower. The family format was to wait until the storm had passed entirely and then proceed with cleaning your body.

As a kid in Germany, we all thought that if the sun shone while it was raining, then the Devil was having a wedding (eine Hochzeit).

From what I was taught at school, I got a fairly clear (I thought) picture of how the earth was laid out: first there was a thin layer of grass, about an inch thick. Then there was the dirt - about half a meter of it, with stones in. Then there was a layer of dinosaur bones, for about another half a meter, and then there was all the hot metal in the centre of the earth. I always drew my pictures with this in cross-section.

I used to believe that my parents once took me to the moon on vacation. We piloted our own spacecraft, and I was very proud over this accomplishment. A great dissapointment when the teachers and kids in kindergarden didn't believe me....

My grandparents had a pond in their backyard and I used to spend a lot of time by it studying the plants and wildlife. There was one plant that I discovered when you peeled its stem inside it looked like the fruit of a banana. It was small so I thought they were 'fish bananas.' I would peel them and break up the 'fish bananas' and throw them in the pond to feed the fish. I told my family, but they never corrected me...I guess they thought it was cute. I have no idea what that plant was.

I used to believe that thunder came the handle on my Dad's drill press. I called it the thunderstick. And i also thought that storms were sucked down the storm drain when they were blown out.

I believed that "they" switched the ocean waves off at night. When I was about 4, we were on holiday at the sea and one evening, after dark, we were driving along the beach road, when to my surprise I saw the waves were still coming in. I asked my mother at what time they were switched off.

I used to think that the sound that the wind makes when it goes through the cracks in a window meant that Big Foot was prowling outside.

When I was about four, I thought that each country was a separate planet and that they were connected by long strips of water. When I drew a picture showing this, my mother disabused me.
