For years I believed that there where populations of tiny, tiny people who lived around any water at all. They also lived in a vastly different time warp where time itself was super fast, so 1 of our seconds was a lifetime. So wiping up a spill on the counter involved wiping out the water supply for countless cities, and spilling water created huge tsunami's that wiped out whole civilizations.

I believed that my family and I lived on Earth, and the rest of the people lived in other planets, like Pluto and Mars and Saturn.

I used to believe…

air would soon finish in the world then humanity would be in trouble but only I knew this and I didn't want to panic the entire planet so I secretly tried to think of ways to save air only I would use.

As a 7 or 8 year old, I knew that water was a good conductor of electricity. I also knew that lightening was a deadly electrical source. Therefore, in my mind (was it told to me?), it was a big no-no to go pee in the toilet during an electrical storm because in some way the lightening could make its way up through the toilet through the water and then by extention . . . . I think you get the idea. During many a storm I found myself holding on until after the storm was over until I thought it was safe to go to the bathroom!

I used to think the creaters in the moon was the baby that was going to be born tomorrow. It always seemd to look like a baby.

I used to believe that when it rained, god was either watering flowers or taking a shower, when there was thunder god was bowling and when it snowed god was rubbing dandruff off of his hair!(I was about six when I learned what really causes weather)

when i was younger and had those little bubbles that you blow i always believed that they were trying to go to outer space and that when they popped that is where they automatically appeared

When I was little I used to believe that if I stuck my nose too far into a flower when i was smelling it, the flower would bite my nose off.

When i was about 6 or 7 I remember asking my dad what the wheather will be like " is it going to be sunny or rainy?" He'd look up at the sky & then give me an answer, which was usually right.
For years i thought he was magical or something.
It took years for me to realise he just watched the weather report! :-0

I thought the wind was caused by the trees. When it was windy, the trees where moving back and forth.. like our ocillating fan, plus the made the noise..like our fan. Made sense to me at the time, lol.

When I was a kid, I thought the stars made the chirping noise the crickets make at night, The twinkling seemed to blend with the chirping, so I naturally thougth the stars made the noise.

In Russia we had a lot of training for 'incase a powerplant explodes and released toxic gases'. And I kept hearing these stories about it...

People were telling me things like "When the powerplant explodes we would all have to wear the gasmasks, even when we sleep, and even eat wearing them".

This eventually made me belive that there is only one powerplant on earth which one day WILL explode... like it is unavoidable and it will explode, people are just basically waiting for the unavoidable disaster to happen ( just like a meteor strike)

And I belived that when it explodes, the gases would ALMOST INSTANTLY fill the ENTIRE EARTH and we would have to live with gasmasks for the REST OF MANKND. xD

When I was little, my brother used to tell me that during a thunderstorm lightning would come out of the powerpoints and 'get' me.

To this day, it's something I'm phobic about, even though common sense tells me otherwise!

I used to think that mud puddle water would taste like chocolate milk. That's what my big sister told me. She also made me get down on my hands and knees and try it. Shock and disillusionment...and a gritty aftertaste!

My mother use to tell me to be quiet during a thunderstorm. I never could figure out why she said that and now when it's a thunderstorm I make everyone in the house be quiet.
